The Gallia Academy Blue Angels exploded for 17 hits resulting in 20 runs in 5 innings over Logan this afteernoon. Sr. Heather Ward only faced 17 batters and struck out 10, walked one and gave up one hit. Sr. Mattie Lanham and soph. Violet Pelfrey led the Angels with 3 hits each. Ward, Maggie Westfall, Rachel Morris and Megan Cochran each had 2 hits and Kendra Barnes, Jaymee Cremeens and Chelsy Slone had one hit each. Logan's Faith Freeman gave up 10 runs, struck out 2 and walked 2. Reliever Jessica Conley gave up 10 runs also and walked 2. Gallipolis improves to 4-0 and hosts Hilliard Davidson tomorrow in a double-header at the University of Rio Grande beginning at 1:00.
