There is no question about Votto's talent and stats. The debate is whether or not the money Votto is being paid could have been better invested in quality pitching.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2017 11:16 pm https://mobile.twitter.com/theaceofspae ... 2998687745
Fun stat on a current Red.

Wow what a game! Just when it looked like the Reds were done in by a double play the replay saves them. I thought it looked like he was safe watching it live.Cozart with a HUGE hit!

The biggest issue right now is the injuries to the starting pitchers. The Reds score a lot of runs, their offense is dynamic.

I liked the memorial day military themed camo accented uniforms the Reds and the Phillies was wearing this evening. Army green hats with Army style camo bill. Grey uniforms with Army green accented lettering, Army camo socks with Beige baseball cleats. Very cool looking.

The Central is terrifically awful this year, so no loss is too bad at this point. Still only 2.5 games out, which is borderline crazy to think about.

The central is surprising how bad it is when I first thought about it, but the Cards lost most of their big names. The Reds, Brewers and Pirates are young and the Cubs haven't been real good yet, everyone thought they would run away from everyone this year and they haven't come close to doing that. Unfortunately, I still see the Cubs eventually running away from everyone at some point.

As a Cubs fan, I hope you're right. The starting pitching has been awful, but it is doubtful that their struggles with RISP will keep up. On the 0-6 West Coast trip, the Cubs went 3-40 with RISP lolChieftain2009 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2017 4:48 pm The central is surprising how bad it is when I first thought about it, but the Cards lost most of their big names. Crazy! lol it seems that things click for the Cubs about half the time, when things do click, they are very good. For the Reds, nobody is questioning their offense I don't think, their offense is quite dominant, we'll see what happens when their starting pitchers become healthy again.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2017 6:08 pmAs a Cubs fan, I hope you're right.
