I get that the one thread was really over the top, but lay off. Athens' people were just excited for their accomplishment, no reason to rip on them in the every thread that features a score.

I was shocked by the outcome of that game though, was excited for an Athens/Unioto district final. After being overlooked at the draw and having their top pitcher/player out for the 1st 2 rounds, Unioto's done pretty well for themselves and will need to have another solid pitching performance to get past Fairfield Union.

Last season, Unioto won their 1st District title since 1994 and they finished 5th in the SVC this season. I believe Jottings has stated that Gallia hasn't won one since the 50's, but I could be wrong there, I do know that this is the most wins in their school history. Fairfield Union is coming off of a season where they went 3-18, while Miami Trace started this season losing 6 of 8 to get into an early hole. It's going to be a great breakthrough for whatever 2 schools advance on Thursday.
