Whew....again.

Trailed 4-0....battle, battle, battle down 4-3, Waverly HR 5-3. Jackson ties it up 5-5 in the bottom of the 5th.

Bottom of the 7th tied 5-5, Kelly Hughes worked a walk, Kari Jenkins looped one to RCF. With 1 out and first and second Jensen Oberholzer crushes a line drive to LCF and Hughes scores for the walk-off win.

Waverly is tremendous...tremendous team. We were unfortunate to have to play them and fortunate to beat them.

Next up is a very good Logan Elm team.

Congrats Jackson! I guess the situation wasn't really quite as dire as the WBEX website lets on:

In Division 2 Softball, Unioto's Lady Shermans outlasted Marietta 5-4 in 8 innings Saturday after Zane Trace had beaten Westfall 2-1 on Friday in Division 3.

In other area action Saturday, Logan Elm returns to district play with a 10-0 win over Sheridan, but Circleville falls to Fairfield Union 6-4. Waverly's hopes of a sectional title were dashed, blowing a 5-0 lead heading to the 6th in a 6-5 loss to Jackson.

I thought it was 4-0 and then the Ironladies battled for 3 runs. Kelly Hughes gave up a HR to Mayes to make it 5-3.
