Piketon 29 Waverly 21
Who will be the winner? Will piketon get it 3 times in a row? Or will my tigers get a huge win?

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
If waverly turns the ball over as much as they did last year piketon will win easily.

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
In the last 4 years the biggest point difference has been 14 points, Waverly 21 Piketon 7 in 2009. Every other game has been right at 7 points or less. Piketon is probably favored, but it should be a good game. The Streaks only lost 3 O linemen and a wr/db. Lets go Streaks!~

Piketon will win this one.
I'm looking for the Streaks to have a good season if their line holds up.

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
This game will be a good one both teams have good qb's, waverly's ground game should be solid along with piketon's. The O and D line of both teams will be a huge factor in who wins this one.
Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
Pulling for Waverly in this one. Opening game, there are going to be mistakes made by both teams. The team that makes the least mistakes should win. Hope for no injuries for either teams, and good luck to both.

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
Line play and cohesion will be key in this game. How well will the big guys up front work together to open up holes and keep the QB on their feet?
Kicking game could be crucial. PAT's need to be made a missed PAT could be the difference. A return on punts on kickoffs could prove important as coverage teams may not be 100% ready for game speed. All are just thoughts from what I have seen in opening games. Should be a good one.

My vote is for theTigers.. I don't think Piketon's defense can stop Waverly.. I say, 42-28 tigers.

Tickets are on sale at both high schools. Piketon is looking pretty good on both sides of the ball. Lets Go Streaks!

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
Piketon did look good on both sides of the ball against Porstmouth, but they looked very weak on defense against Valley and Notre Dame a week prior. Maybe that got their defense back on track or Portsmouths offense is not very good. Either way Piketon dont look bad as a team and look very good on offense. Will be hard for anyone to hold them out of the endzone. But I believe Waverly should have a very strong offense too. This game may come down to who has the ball last.eagles73 wrote:Tickets are on sale at both high schools. Piketon is looking pretty good on both sides of the ball. Lets Go Streaks!

Re: Waverly vs. Piketon (Week 1)
I think your putting way to much stock in scrimmages! lol Piketon returned every skill position back on ofense and return 9 on defense. They have 18 seniors, 15 of them start. Now, this game will be close, but Piketon has won the last 2 games, the odds are on their side. But of course that is why they play the game! Lets Go Streaks~!

I never put them down. I said they looked very good on offense and as a team against Portsmouth. I was actually surprised and impressed by Piketon. I just think it will be a high scoring game. I believe Waverly is on the upswing.
