How bad is it when even a win is hard to watch?

But, we'll take it.

And we wore Brown. :122245

This would be a good week, figuring it's the first time we'll face our former selves since Fart passed away.

Gonna have to score more than seven points, though.

I like the fact that the rookies are starting to produce regularly. T-Rich's was superb Sunday, Weeden hasn't thrown a pick in three weeks, JMJ forced a fumble and was around the ball a lot last week, Billy Winn had another fumble recovery, Hughes has looks fine in place of Taylor, and Gordon is starting to look like a No. 1 (minus one ball in Indianapolis).

And check this out. At 2-6 overall, the Browns are plus-3 in turnover differential. That's insane for a beat-up defense to this point.

It looks like football, all the way around the board. I agree D&C, time to put one together - which is due any day now.

11/18 @ Dallas

Here's my candidate for a coming out party. Browns have traditionally played the 'Boys tough.

Who knows what Cowboys team shows up and for how long they show up. This could be a blowout or a close game. No matter how good the Browns play.

The Ravens are 30th against the run. What's next, it's going to snow on the Monday before Halloween?

Had no idea that they were that low, and it still doesn't seem possible after double-checking.

Of course, Indianapolis wasn't very good against the run before we played them either.

Carries for T-Rich, please.

This is a hard game to pick. With Ray Lewis out that has changed the team chemistry. But he should be able to be on the sidelines now. The Ravens are so up and down then add they got hit by Sandy this week also. Not as bad as NY. Will the have any effect on them?

The Browns if they have a team they want to beat it is the Ravens. Just because. The Browns have a good chance to play well against the Ravens. Just do not give up to many points at the beginning of the game. Get the running game going. Rotate the backs in. Take the time off the clock. Do not have the costly turnovers. If the game is close the Browns win if over 2 TD's then the Ravens.

Does anyone think we should start rooting for the Washington Generals too?

A bye week. Hallelujah. No suffering this weekend. Two weeks to get ready for the Glory-Hole-Searching-Cowboys.

Taylor should be back, T-Rich gets a few extra days to recover and we should be as close to full strength as any time this season.

Enjoy your free weekend, my fellow Brownies. Only seven to go.

After a mental vacation Sunday :122245 we get back at this week with the Cowboys.

Hopefully that big win over the Eagles will benefit the Browns in some sort of way.

Ultimatums have been issued. Had a week to prepare for the stretch run.

Time to get off the porch if you cannot bark with the big dawgs.

That's you Shurmur. And maybe even Weeden too.

I don't know why but I think this game is winnable for the Browns. If they are improved and going to turn the corner, this is the week. Shurmur is gone but this game is for whether Weeden stays or goes.

Josh Cribbs goes off!-
From The Cleveland Plain Dealer
BEREA, Ohio - Cleveland Browns kick returner Josh Cribbs said he is frustrated that he's only touched the ball eight times on offense this season with the team at 2-7 and Told the Plain Dealer, "I feel caged."

Here are some highlights from the interview with Cribbs:

• On talking to Pat Shurmur: "I've talked to the head coach but there's no point. Obviously they feel like everybody that's in front of me is a better athlete. I disagree. I feel a different way than the coach feels about me. They must feel I can't produce. We have a difference of opinion."

• On lack of touches: "Me going from being able to run the wildcat, to playing receiver last season and catching 41 passes and four touchdowns to nothing. I can't believe it. It's like by me not playing, I feel like they think I'm not good, that I've lost it. But I haven't. I feel when I'm out there I can contribute, but I'm not able to."

• On his value: "I feel like I'm better than the next man, that man, whoever's in front of me, but I don't have that opportunity."

• On it being his contract year: "I can't even showcase myself. I'm more than a special teams player. I've proven that. I belong on the field more than this, more than what they're allowing me to do. I've tried not to say much, but it's upsetting. We're nine games into the season and I haven't gotten a chance."

• On the 2-7 record: If the team were winning and we were successful every week on offense, I wouldn't say a word. Something needs to change. You've got to think outside the box.

• On the outlook for the final stretch: "There's no indication that things will be different over the last seven games. I'm a special teams player. My guys are rallying behind me and trying to send me to the Pro Bowl. I'm trying to contribute as much as I can."

• On his desire to help: "I've got so much fight in me. I've been through it all here and I know how important it is for these fans to win, and I want to be doing everything I can to help, and I can't. They won't give me the chance."

• On his role: "There's something wrong when one of your best athletes doesn't get the ball. I'm tired of people that don't know how to use me. Get creative. Find ways."

• On his special teams play: "It's my only avenue to succeed. I hate it when punters or kickers kick away, because I feel like I haven't played the game. It's just the way things are right now, me not being able to play on offense or anything. I'm trying to do everything I can on special teams -- more than ever before -- because it's the only avenue I've got. My mindset is just to concentrate on what I can control.

I like Josh. Great guy, done a lot for the Browns. But he needs to keep this in the clubhouse. Time to go!

Just another loss for fans locked in the Cleveland Browns' torture chamber: Terry PlutoPublished: Sunday, November 18, 2012, 5:22 PM Updated: Sunday, November 18, 2012, 5:26 PM
By Terry Pluto, The Plain Dealer

ARLINGTON, Texas -- For Browns fans, this isn't a game. It's football's version of torture for those who love the team in the orange helmets. It's opening an immaculately wrapped box and discovering there's a rat trap inside, complete with a dead, stinting rodent. In so many ways, it makes fans scream, "This is not fair!" And it's not. Often, it's easier when the Browns just lose something like 56-6. By halftime, you could just go outside and rake the leaves. Or switch the channel and see what the hoarders are hoarding. Instead, fans are piling up the frustration after Sunday 23-20 loss in overtime to Dallas.
How many times did it seem the Browns have this game won? Once? Twice? How about 115 times? OK, it just felt like that. The Cowboys played like a team entering the day with a 4-5 record and had yet to win two in a row. The Browns are the Browns, coming in with a 2-7 record and having lost 11 straight on the road. This game was just a tease. When the Browns failed to score on the Dallas 1 with 1:47 left in regulation, I figured the Cowboys would win, 17-13. But when Dallas ran the ball three times, and punted -- I still thought the Browns would lose. Then Brandon Weeden threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Ben Watson.
So here was the deal. There were 67 seconds left on the clock. Dallas had the ball on its 20. The Browns led, 20-17. And I dared to dream...and write. I began to write about this being the biggest victory in Pat Shurmur's two years. I began to write about how Weeden looked rattled and then defeated in the second half, only to come back with the game-winning touchdown pass. I began to write about a gritty defense that ended the day with seven sacks and held Dallas to 63 yards rushing.
Only the game wasn't over ... and certainly it wasn't won.
I can do a lot of analysis about how the Browns still can't get into the end zone when it matters. Or about how the play-calling went stale. How an aging Sheldon Brown has to play so far behind receivers that he gives them a first down on almost every pass -- unless he's called for interference. Brown was flagged for a 35-yard pass interference penalty with 29 seconds remaining in regulation. That set up the field goal, leading to the overtime. In the overtime, the offense did little. The battered defense bent, then buckled.
The Browns lost ... again. I know things like this happen to other teams. Actually, I don't know that. I just know they happen to the Browns -- a lot. Dallas is a mistake-prone team with its confidence about as strong as spaghetti. The Browns are the Browns.
These Browns are 2-8, yet I insist that they are better than last year's 4-12 Browns. Or those 5-11 Browns of 2009-10. But they are 2-8. They should have won this game. At least, they could have won. But they didn't. Fans know that empty feeling all too well.

Couldn't have said it any better myself!

Dallas struggled today and seemed to be lost at times. The Off line both tackles and one back up tackle stink. The Boys escaped with the win.

Main draft needs anyone? It's time to start that chatter.

CB and OG would be a good place to start, IMO. Hopefully, Mr. Haslam will go get some free agents since we really don't need to get any younger.

Fourth-and-goal at the 1. Give T-Rich the ball again and let him be the guy you traded up to #3 to select. I don't care if he was stopped on third down from the same distance, take some pressure off the old rookie QB. Bad, Pat ... really bad.
