Cleveland Browns 2012
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
I agree, 4th and goal at the one terrible play call. DB's were terrible today and they won't use Cribs. D line played awesome. Refs blew the Cowboys reception and fumble, ruled incomplete pass on the field but wouldn't review - Cowboys kick game winner a few plays later.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Plain and simple, since their return, the Browns have put third-string (or worse) quarterbacks on the field. Weeden may develop eventually but his sell-by date is daunting. This team needs a serious QB and some playmakers at WR. Also, some depth at DB. They must get it quick or the strengths they have amassed at other positions will wither and we will be trapped in this vicious cycle forever.
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Browns need secondary people bad! Boy did they ever miss Joe Haden yesterday, they probably win that game if he plays,The refs were horrible I also hated that call on Ward for unecessary roughnesss, what he supposed to do let the receiver catch the ball and gently lay him on the ground ? Overall I thought the offense did a decent job,the offensive line did a great job of pass blocking ,but all those silly penalties on defense really killed them.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Ticketmaster and the Browns have teamed up for the latest promotion for fans going to the game against the Steelers on Sunday. They are giving the fans entering the stadium.......wait for it....
WHITE FLAGS!
It is offically over.
I hope this wasn't approved by Jimmy Haslam. Here's a suggestion.. Give the fans big orange thunder sticks in the shape of dog bones.
White flags? Hey Jimmy, hire me. I could come up with something better than that!

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
The Browns offense will probably need some of them white flags when going up against the steelers defense

I don't know about that but it is the best chance they will have for the next two or three years to get them.noreply66 wrote:Cleveland picks up a win in this one

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Man we have no offense at all. If we get a couple touchdowns off the gifts the Steelers gave in the first half, this game is ours. As it is, Steelers score before the half, lead at halftime and have to feel pretty good about their chances. We need a QB. Weeden isn't the answer. Again, Browns misfire at QB. RG III in the lead for rookie of the year!

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Agree score should have been a lot worse with all the gifts handed to them but then again they handed a lot of them back with all them stupid penalties, and they got a huge break on that fumble by Richardson IMO.A win is a win and any over the steelers is precious and boy do the steelers ever miss bergerman! This would have been another easy win for them.As bad as Weeden played today he still ended up with a better rating against better defense than Andrew Luck did today ,but the guy they really missed the boat on was Russel Wilson.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
For some strange reason I don't feel like celebrating this win. Sure I'm happy but what did the Browns prove? That they were less inept than a Steelers team missing many starters including being down to a 38 year old 3rd string QB? They should have won this going away. Instead, they outlasted an out-manned team. I was looking for something stronger.
Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
I know the feeling you would think the browns would hammer them with all them turnovers and the offense was lousy, but lets not forget that was the number 1 defense they went up against and they actually got more yards than Baltimore did the week before,so enjoy it, maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed, now if they perform this way next week then you'll have reason to worry.dazed&confused wrote:For some strange reason I don't feel like celebrating this win. Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
The Steelers have been whipping up on our third team for about 14 years now.
Heck yeah I'm enjoying this one, regardless of the situation.
We live to beat Pittsburgh, which just happened.
It wasn't pretty, but style points don't count in the win-loss column.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
I'm happy with any win over the Steelers, no matter who the opposing quarterback is or how many turnovers Pittsburgh had.......the Browns have been in virtually every game this year, and probably should have a couple more wins, but don't because they haven't learned how to close out games yet. But there's no question that we are improved, particularly on the defensive line.

Re: Cleveland Browns 2012
Whoop-dee-doo! 4-3 in last seven games. When was the last time you could say that about a Browns team? Still young, still fragile but showing signs of life.
