I believe it will be E. Miller at QB and D. Miller running the ball, although you may see 3-5 people getting a fair number of carries or receptions. Burg has several good backs, but none stand out as of yet. We will have to see who steps up the most as the season starts. I am interested to see how Sifford fits into the mix as well. He probably has the best arm on the team, but isn't quite as mobile as the typical Burg QBs of the past.

In simple terms, White, Brown, Beech...too much speed & athleticism for the burg behind a sizeable & very athletic O-line. Being game #1 I expect a bit of a slow start BUT all in all Ironton will turn the corner & coast past a proud, tough, Pirate group.

There are no players named Beech on this year's team. Patrick Lewis is the one you need to keep an eye on.

Ironton should win this easy enough. The only disadvantage Ironton has is that it is at Burg. Ironton should run away with this with the amount of talent they have.

I think that Ironton will probably win this game. But I look for The Burg to be better than people think. They have some good talent, and lots of speed.

I couldn't imagine him quiting after all the hard work he put in during the off season and all of the Camps he attended.

He did play in the Coal Grove scrimmage and his mom said he was 100% ready to go just two days ago.

i don't know siderman. but jackson, chillicothe, and now gallipolis have dropped us.and if the burg does, you are talking about a lot of scrambling, and very far trips to get games.we have 3 kentucky schools now, russell, ashland, and johnson central. all quality programs mind you. but ironton travels so well also.

me personally i wouldn't care if the series ends. a 5-16 record overall and 2-10 since 2000 including 3 straight. i just wish burg would pick up someone wk one that we don't lose to yr after yr. that's just me
