I enjoyed that, but it's pure fantasy. If all men worked the way that Dagny and Reardon did, then Galt's valley would work.Xtoxxviii wrote:Atlas Shrugged
I wish, but people aren't like Rand portrayed them, so we have to adapt to the real world.

You don't have to like her or her beliefs to enjoy the book.
Of course I have always enjoyed the books that I was NOT supposed read....................
Please folks read all you can and don't worry with others thinking you of a fool for what you read.

Oh, I am an advocate of that also...........But one should know the background of the political views of some of these works to be aware of the bias.............That book and author is being used today to espouse things like getting rid of medicare...........Read, and rrad everything....But be aware of what you read........ :12224

More "I forgot"
John Sandford's "PREY" mystery series - EXCELLENT - I worked with a person who was also a reader. We frequently traded/shared books. We also played "movie producer/caster" and frequently picked/suggested actors to play the parts of characters in our favorite books.
I rarely think that the movie is better than the book, but The Horse Whisperer is the best book-to-movie adaptation I've seen - but Exodus and The Hope are close behind.
