0 - 9 in league play. Last chance to avoid winless SEOAL season with a make up game against Warren next week. Lost 12 of the last 13. Circleville tonight and 2 with Nelsonville Saturday. Great weather forcast. Lets get some wins.

Sounds like a politician answer!

Is Circleville a winnable game tonight?

I can see taking some JV kids and letting them get some experience but why take a game away from the senior players. Start your regulars and get the game under control then let the JV kids finish it out. With only 3 wins why not go get number 4. IMO this program is in no position to give away a game. Baseball is a funny game and anything can happen. You know VC was going to be ready to play after a 22-0 drubbing the last time. You have to figure you are going to see their ace or #2 with no league game the next day and this late in the season looking for any kind of win to carry over to next season. Why risk it. Pretty sure they looked at it like a winnable game. No matter the sport on any given day a team can be beaten. In the end the loss goes on the books to the varsity. I see a very winnable game taken away from a varsity team that desperately needed it. A game taken away from seniors playing the last few games of their high school careers and a JV team put in a very tough situation. Most of them are Freshman. Sure they got some varsity experience but was it worth it.

pfloyd thank you very much. its been a tough week. It felt good to be back in my usual spot next to the dugout behind the plate. Needed to feel normal again. Logan wins game two 14-2. Good sweep.

You play the game to WIN. The AD needs to investigate the coach and find out his reason, and no excuses!

Anyone have a score of the game? 0 - 10 league record not good at all. Saw there is only 3 teams playing Pony level in rec this year. Less then 35 kids signed up. Only 6 teams playing midget. Numbers for 11-14 year old does not look good. Low numbers and very few games does not bode well for the high school level.

Winless in league play for the second time in history. Second time in the last 5 seasons. Does this not raise a red flag to anyone. Outscored 86 - 19 in league play I was told. Not going to win many games if boys are not playing quality baseball. They just don't have the same type of experience. We need more travel teams at all ages. Come on parents. If your boy is serious about baseball get him on a travel team or start one. One group of 11yr old is not going to fix it. Talk to them if you are interested. They have played 19 already and rec is just starting practice. They play at Hilliard next Tuesday night. Under the lights. Tournament in Pataskala next weekend. Play Friday night. Under the lights. There have to be more kids out there that would love to be able to do that. By next Sunday they will have played 24 games at minimum. Over twice what the boys in rec will get and they are not even halfway through their season. All high school rules and class 1 OHSAA certified umpires. That group plays real baseball.
