It all starts with the kids. Numbers are down again in Rec. Only 3 teams in the Pony division. All age groups are down in numbers. That is not good news at the high school level.

Real leaders stand in front of the crowd and risk ridicule and embarrassment. Leaders have the intestinal fortitude to take something that needs help and put in tireless effort and time to make it something worthwhile.

Sir, If you want to call someone out, please do so in person. I would be more than happy to direct you to the coach and let you guys have a face to face conversation.

So far as I can tell, if you are not part of the solution, then you are just adding to the problem. Good day to you.

One items we are overlooking is team Sponsors!

Sponsors are out there. The Logan travel team had 15 different local businesses donate money to help pay for umpires. $100 dollars a game adds up fast. There is support out there in this community but you have to be willing to go out and talk to people.

There will be a new 10u baseball travel team in Logan next spring as well. This will be a team with corp sponsorship, teaching fundamental baseball in a competitive setting. Logan's rec program is a shell of its former self and its a joke. This new organization will stress fundamentals, fun, but we will play to win.

That is good news. Next year there will be a 12u and a 10u. Exactly what the program needs. Who is heading up the 10u?

Grad, Thank you for understanding the problems! our rec program Back in the 60's, 70's and early 80's we had an outstanding rec program with committed coaches and sponsors and kids that wanted to play ball! That tells the story of why our High School baseball program is in trouble! Again if you are involved THANKS!

I would assume the high school coaching staff. 7 of the kids in the picture were HS players so maybe they did the instruction. Looks like it was a very small turnout compared to every other camp.

Just out of curiosity what was the combined won/loss record of the LHS boys football, basketball and baseball seasons for the 2012/2013 season?

Why, not include track?
