I really hope last week was just a case of over confidence and taking a team to lightly. If that was the case I hope they got there wake up call and are ready to play this week. If they come out flat against Portsmouth they can get up on them early, and with their offensive style that could be very bad. West needs to come out and show that they can do other things besides run up the middle. With Bricker still getting his legs under him at QB they need to let him throw when its not an obvious passing situation. Give him a chance to throw and see what he can do.

im going to go with West to get back on track

It will be an interesting week that will certainly set the tone for both of these teams. Anxious to see how West rebounds and adjust to another team that is not necessary big and physical, but quick with the ability to throw the ball.

Good luck to the Siders. GO SOC II!

Then don't watch, last time I checked your attendance at the games is not required :122245
 it was a figure of speech, i look forward to Friday nights
The Dragons defeated West in 2003, the year after the Senators made it to the D4 state final game.

Jesse Scott will NOT be playing this week against Portsmouth, is looking ahead to hopefully be on the field against Chillicothe.

The loss last week was West's 4th loss to Fairland since the series began in 1981, from what I've been able to find.
It was the loss # 6 to the dragons.

That isnt much better that makes 6 losses in 31 years! I think that still puts us on top by a little for the series. So enjoy win #6 and good luck on the rest of your season.

Halftime score: Portsmouth West- 18 Portsmouth- 14

West has been shooting themselves in the foot. Portsmouths speed has been their greatest attribute thus far. Should be a great second half!

This was a very strange game in general. Multiple turnovers.....Probably 8 or 9 total....

Portsmouth definitely has some talented and quick skill players and it looks like the young West team is seriously feeling the loss of last years seniors. Neither team gets any break in terms of their upcoming schedules either.

Great to see the Trojans tough out an ugly win.. The Trojans are a young team that will make mistakes at times. They will continue to improve on the year minimizing costly turnovers and hopefully will result in a few more W's..

When a player takes his helmet off to celebrate a play, that should be a personal foul, shouldn't it?
