Re: Week 1 Lancaster @ Logan
Well i just returned home from the scrimmage. In the first part each team ran 20 offensive plays mixing in a lot of jv players. Lancaster seemed like they were just going through motions with little excitement. Second half did 2 live quarters of football. Lancaster played pretty sell. Defense should be descent. Offense started moving the ball well. Threw enough times ( 8-10) to maybe make teams respect the pass this season. Even looked good throwing the ball. Running game was same old solid wing-t we always run. Beat brookhaven 21-7 in the two quarters. All three touchdowns for gales were passing plays i believe. One was for about 50 yards. Brookhaven only score came after a intercepted pass giving them a short field. Still a few bugs to work out and improvement can be made at every position but should be a pretty solid team. I say they should finish around 7-3, 6-4 at worst.

Re: Week 1 Lancaster @ Logan
We may not learn a lot about either team from this game. In spite of my personal preference I believe the Chiefs will be out-bodied. Emotions can always color the outcome but in the end, the Gales will have too much. I think the real test for the Chiefs will be in the coming weeks. The aura of years past is gone and they need to learn to walk before they can run again. Realistically, the Chiefs need to be competitive in the league. I don't predict a league title for them. However, they should be competitive against most teams in the SEOAL. If not, I think the program needs to be re-evaluated at season's end.
Re: Week 1 Lancaster @ Logan
I said last year after this game Logan would win this game this year based on all the players I thought would be back,Logan still has a lot of players back but not as many as they could have due to some electing not to play this year.Even with them players back who knows with the way things are going, Logan will just have to go out not worry and play since nobody is giving them a shot now,all the pressure is on Lancaster because it would be the upset of the century should Logan win.I think they might be closer to the league then people think, last year they were competitive with all the teams except Jackson and could have won them with a few breaks here and there. This year I don't see a dominant team like Jackson was the last couple years,so I still think Logan has as good a chance as anybody, we'll see.
Re: Week 1 Lancaster @ Logan
Didn't these Sr. and Jr. beat everyone in the league they played as freshman?
I don't think they played Portsmouth.
