No one is hating on you, no doubt. I love you're behind the team...I'd give anything to see them play for a state title.

I would also agree with you coop and siderguy12. It is a bold statement to say we are the best. That is yet to be seen. But the good news is, we will get a chance to prove that statement. As coop said, I believe this Defense is good enough to keep us in games. The only difference is outside of this region the teams get very deep. I even read somewhere that Kirtland only has 2 players that go both ways. Thats a good way to stay fresh. If we win this week (and i think we will) then we will get that chance to prove our Defense.
Go Indians

I think Valley may win this one with more ease than either of the other two games. Good Luck, hope you just keep winning!

Don't want to sound like a "party pooper" but I believe the defense will see a 'test' in LU!! They did not make region by accident! Our boys have WORK to do this week and THEN we can talk Kirtland/Ursaline.
I do not believe the coaches or boys are overlooking LU one bit (boys just got home from film) and recognize LU will NOT be a joke.
I would love nothing more than for Valley to waltz into state unscathed but I just have a sneeky feelin' it's not gonna be easy.
GOOOOO INDIANS!!

We are 100% certain this will be NO walk in the park........

I have Valley trailing 24-21 and driving down to score and win the ballgame

28-24

I appreciate the respect, I admit I was a little afraid to make that post! Lol

Anyways, I'm excited to watch a fellow SOC team go and compete for the regional title. I believe valley has the weapons to win this game, and I'll be pulling for them in the stands. I don't think any of the coaches will be over looking this LU team. As mentioned earlier, they didn't get there by mistake, they beat two very good teams to get here.

Good luck Indians!

We appreciate anyone who wants to jump on the bandwagon. All of us down here from southern ohio and especially our SOC brother and sisters are all on the same team now. :122249

I don't think we will have that much of a problem with Lu I think we match up pretty good with them. Valley might not have the best defense left in the playoffs but they also don't have the worst. Youngstown will bring in so much speed they will be hard to stop. Coldwater is coldwater. I think we would need a game like we just had to beat these teams. If we can cause some turnovers and make it a defensive 2 td game we have a chance. But we will not win a high scoring game. One thing we will have a advantage in is none of the teams in the state turny will take us to serious and we might be able to surprise one of the teams.

I applaud your confidence, but I really want to caution you looking ahead. The thing about this group of kids from Valley is they aren't the flashy explosive type that just looks better on paper. They are a work-man like team that grinds wins out. Also, don't kid yourself into thinking that playing the way we played against Wynford was good enough to cruise into the State Semi's and compete with anyone. Beating Wynford was great, but this week's game presents a whole different set of challenges. The Lions scare me because they seem to be peaking at the right time just like Centerburg did in '05. They were also a 6-seed. The Lions are gonna be ready and if we don't bring our A-game, they will put it all over us! Lets go PURPLE!!! Stay focused and compete on every play.

It's a regional final game. No way is it a foregone conclusion. A mistake or two and Valley could be looking at next year instead of next week. I'm certain the coaches will have them prepared but you still have to line up and get the job done. Best wishes and safe travels for all.

Having seen Burg play both teams. This is going to be one of those games where a crucial mistake is going to cost a regional title. Both these teams are very similar in style, run first, pass second. Size advantage slight edge to Valley, but LU does have some size. Their version of hettinger is very good, same size and very quick. LU may have more team speed than Valley. Very impressed with #20. Not very big but he was one of the best backs as far as slipping out of tackles that I've seen this year. Their wildcat qb is very good and only a sophmore. If the game is close in second half, Valley should win. Very impressed with how Valley gets stronger during the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But this liberty Union team reminds me a lot of Crestview from last year. They also was primarily a jet sweep team with very good backs. We just have to play strong fundamental football like we have all year and not make any mistakes, and just take care of our business and we should be fine.

This valley team really reminds of Notre Dame the college lol in the way they play not too flashy on offense but scores enough to win the ball game. But they play good hardnosed D creates turnovers and keeps people out of the end zone. I'm taking the Indians Goodluck from this Falcon time to put the rivalry behind lol its all about the S.O.C Goodluck!!!!!

Liberty Union reminds me more of Centerburg from a few years back in the Regional Finals. Both were #6 seeds and their play styles seem pretty similar to me. Against Centerburg, it took Valley 2 full quarters to make adjustments to what they were doing, and by the time they made the adjustments it was basically to late to win the game. I think talent wise Valley is better and I think both teams are getting better every single week. Looking at Liberty Union's schedule it is clear they have got better since the middle of the season and seem to be peaking right now. I think you can say the same thing about Valley as well.

This Valley team reminds me a lot of the team that lost to Centerburg. Both teams were run heavy and depending on a dominant defense, and if it came down to passing to win the game, then Valley will struggle.

In the end I think Valley wins similarly to how they beat Wynford
