West defeated portsmouth tonight in their scrimmage. They won two of the four quarters, and they tied the other two quarters. It was a really competitive game and the decision of each quarter came down to its final seconds.

I agree ... I'm gonna go watch it and I have no ties to either team ... lol

Eastern definitly stepped up their schedule this year ... they still play Waterford twice, have the game with Jackson, travel to Fort Frye, play Warren at home and play Orrville in a Holliday Classic ... pretty tall order for a tiny school with just seven players on the roster.

I don't believe the second game has been determined yet. If they don't find someone, Huntington will just make a trip to Eastern and play a 2nd time

Miami Trace has games that should get them ready for the tournament. besides Unioto they play Wheelersburg on 12/29, Clinton Massie (who are top 5 in D2 in the dayton area) twice in league play, Greeneview (top 5 in D3 in dayton area), Westerville North who are one of the best D1 teams in columbus, and Dayton Dunbar.

Wheelersburg off to a great start .. 6-0 with wins over Valley, SW and Minford I believe. Not bad for a team most people saw as middle of the pack in the SOC1 this year . they have great coaching up there .
