I think some people don't realize what the Family of the Radio Station does for ALL of our Area Youth, NOT Just Nelsonville, if I remember correctly, when some of the Area Football Teams, Volleyball Teams etc. went to Playoff (State); buses were provided. So, I think all of you need to take a step back and look at it as ADULTS! And, I for one quit listening to it on Friday nights, I wanted to hear scores from all of High School Football, and not what kind of food was at the TailGating Party.
And, if you say you aren't listening to the show anymore, so be it. I haven't since last year. I don't think it had anything to do with Trimble beating Nelsonville, So Get over yourself already!!! GEESH!!!!!

Exactly!!!!

I don't know why people from Trimble are complaining. If it wasn't for the NELSONVILLE radio station, you would never hear Trimble games on the radio. If it wasn't for the NELSONVILLE television station, you would never watch Trimble games on TV. If it wasn't for the NELSONVILLE football field, you would never have a nice stadium to play a football game in once every two years.

Quit your b*tching.

Power 105 covers Trimble games as well ... just sayin.

But your right about Nelsonville T.V. cable - that is a blessing ... I love being able to watch all three teams play every week!

And if it were not for the whole Trimble Township area subscribing to the cable and listing to 107 they would not generate the revenue they do and would have fewer things to offer. No one is criticizing what they offer. Just making a statement that first, it is silly for people to jump on a radio announcer because he forgot to add the second word in a school name. For gosh sakes some of the same people love when Pancake butchers a school name. But I know for a fact that a certain announcer was ripped by the powers about leaving out the "York." Come on that is ridiculous. Secondly, it is kind of comical that the first time Trimble beats Nelsonville in five years the phone lines mysteriously, or not, do not work. I seem to remember a year when they played on Saturday and Nelsonville won there was an impromptu show in which the phone lines were working well.

Seriously, OMG, if you have ever listened to the Radio Station, you KNOW that they have trouble with the phone lines ALOT! Quit thinking so much of yourself that it is because of Trimble beating Nelsonville! And, also, there are alot of subscribers in the whole area, not just Trimble Township! But, if you don't like it that well, I guess you could subscribe to Dish Network, or something! I am sure you would see Trimble on one of those Stations!!!!

there is more reason's than forgetting a letter.....they were having difficulties with the station and they do their very best to give the best telecast....but 4 people in the booth.....c'mon.......that was a big problem of somebody not letting the guys do their jobs...Billy does a great job with the play by play and the coach adding comments....didn't need the 4th guy....sorry but it was bad.....heck espn only has 2 and then 4 later after the games......and to criticize the equipment and what room he was in was not being a team player.......plus the boss who... he works for bet didn't dig it......so call a spade a spade.....had nothing to do with one team beating another......was too much jibberish the first half........and from what I've been told......he just plugged himself in.......so there you go......2 sides to every story........

Best of both worlds.....

If I want to listen about high school football I can tune to 107.7...

If I want a new recipe I can tune to 105....

It don't get any better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you running down the tailgate cook off you must not have seen all the gifts that were generated and given to less fortunate kids. This show took tailgating for High School games to an all time high. Just go to any area game now and check the parking lots you will see many groups cooking.

The Edwards family has been great to area youth Atheletes and to folks all around the county. Enough can't be said about that. I think most are upset about the abrupt ending of the show. Going in a new direction is fine and that is as some would say the business of radio. However most feel this was a last minute decision to cancel the show which does not sit well because of the planning and prep. put in to running it. If it was not a last minute decision and was something they had been planning for sometime then it is a poorly managed business. They wait until shirts, hats and plaques have been ordered and sponsors were in place??? But again Joe and Betty have been wonderful people and have done a lot for the area.

I am not running down the cook-off. I think it is a great thing. But I don't think everyone who tunes in wants to hear only about that. I listened Friday night for over 30 minutes before they gave the Nelsonville/Trimble score, or any score for that matter. It was great conversation about the game, but no score was given for a long while. I would say go to the old egg timer and give the scores every 5 or 10 minutes. In between talk about what ever the people calling in want. That may satisfy more people. Some argue that if you want to hear about something call in and request it. However, sometimes it is impossible to get through. That is a good thing, cause that means a lot of people are listening and calling in. But those are not the only people listening. So again, give the scores on a scheduled basis so people who want to hear them will know if they tune in they will get to hear them. Then talk about what ever is the popular topic that night.

When it comes down to it, it is all just a way to kill the time until Gridiron Glory starts on WOUB.

There should be an easy way for the football scores to scroll across the bottom of the screen on Channel 5, 12, or 15. Or maybe the Hocking College Channel, 71. That way, everyone can easily catch the scores whenever they need them.

That is a great idea. That would at least take care of those who are at home after the games. Leave them on there until the next morning so if some get home late from an away game they can still catch them.

I don't think it is a matter of moving on as much as it is offering input for the future.

For all those wanting 105.5 to pick this up he better start talking all about Athens and leave Nelsonville and Trimble on the side. Plus all the college kids on Friday night are going to want to listen to music not local football rambling on for hours.

Your a little behind ... they did pick it up and it was on last night.

college kids listening to music ... true
college kids listening to Power 105 ... really? I don't think so ... not these days with Ipods, CD players in there cars and the million songs they have downloaded on their labtops.

Wrong.......Nybuckeye96..... We play on the best field and in the best stadium once every year when we scrimmage Athens.

Quit your b*tching.
We scrimmage Athens every year and that is the nicest field/stadium around

The show was better last night. Scores were given regularly. Wish I could have gotten a recipe for jello salad? I like that red white and blue kind that they serve on july 4th. Also, could we get a recipe for crow. Seems like Trimble needs to serve some up after last night.

Yeh well 1-1 is a better record than 0-2. By the way the FNB trophy looks real nice in the trophy case. Lol
