WEEK 3: (0-2) Chesapeake @ (2-0) Symmes Valley

Post by Smashmouth »

Vikings coming off an impressive win against Southeastern, while Chesapeake is still looking for that first win. I have no clue who pick. Thoughts?

Symmes Valley rolls over a desperately struggling rival.

I expect the Vikings to come out on top, but I also would caution the team to not be too overconfident. Most of the twenty some years that Chesapeake has beaten Symmes Valley, they have come into game 3 with a record of 0-2 and hungry for a win.

I think the Valley will roll but I would like to see Peake with the win!

Longtime is right - Vikings cannot take Panthers lightly just because of their respective records. But I believe the Panthers are down this year and I like how the Vikings have not lost their cool trailing early in both games this year. Vikings will defend the home turf!!

chesapeake has always had a nitch for making the big plays against s.v. in the past... i always enjoy the atmosphere of this game for sure!!!! vikings looked good friday night but i wouldnt try to come out as sluggish defensively against chesapeake as they did southeastern, i have a feeling the panthers bite might be alittle worse!!!

Symmes Valley does need to start off quicker, but once again after the second quarter Vikings will take over and not look back.

Symmes Valley runs all over them. Have to get rid of 1st quarter jitters though ! And they can't play comfortable, gotta play thirsty

If Symmes Valley can survive the Chesapeake hocus pocus that has plagued them so badly at times throughout this series, they have three weeks of absolute cake walks for the rest of September.

Chesapeake is off to a rough start but I see them bouncing back this week in a close game 28-20 and chesapeake get's the first win of the season!

Remember: Chesapeake's first 2 opponents are 4-0 right now and will almost certainly stay that way after week 3. Chesapeake's first 4 opponents are currently undefeated.

Oak Hill: 2-0

Wayne: 2-0

Symmes Valley: 2-0

Valley: 2-0

They should not be overlooked when the OVC slate rolls around.

It's almost always a hoss and a hoss when these 2 teams play. How many times has Peake come into this game 0-2 and SV 2-0, and Peake won? No Viking can forget the "Peake Jinx"! And how many games have been won by the visitors?

This game should be close, as most of'em are. As usual, I believe turnovers and penalties will help decide the winner.

Symmes Valley definitely has to play a full game and come out fired up.

I'll also go ahead and make a prediction: Chesapeake beats Symmes Valley or Fairland this year.
