ill say one thing that applies to this discussion: Playing Burg week 2 and playing Burg week 9 or 10 are two different animals.

Look forward to a great game and a really power packed week for HS football on the river.

Valley has not played a complete game yet. Very sloppy and full of mistakes at best. If they can eliminate the penalties and the mass amount of turnovers they give up and play a complete game like we are all waiting on. This game will get out of hand and get out of hand fast. Valley has talent at every position. Just need to keep their heads on straight and play error free.

Heres something to look at for entertainment, maybe food for thought or fuel for a fire.
They have Valley favored by 14

Don't know much about the Grove but what i've read on here ,they seem to be a worthy opponent and should be a hard hitting contest . Now having seen Valley once obviously they have some rough edges as all teams do early in the season . What I do like is the O-Line big and massive with #51 I believe JJ Hettinger being the anchor at 6'3" 335 a big QB and a big RB and several comprable backs behind him. Valley will chew up the yards no doubt , the question will be if Valley's d will be able to stop the Grove . Wheelersburg got beat deep a few times last week and Valley will have to step up on pass defense . This is the game that the Young Indians need to win as it will set the tone for the rest of the season !

I believe if Valley can and will win this game if they play disiplined football on defense. Especially the D line, they need to stay home and contain the Groves QB. If they do that and eliminate turnovers. They win.

Valley 26-6 at the half. Valleys defense is winning this one with 3 picks and constantly hitting the qb.

Valley's ability to put pressure on the QB in the 2nd quarter and the 4th n goal stop are the stories of the game, IMO! The offensive running game is as good as advertised too.

I'm not a fan at all of how Coal Grove has tried for an on-side kick 3 out of 3 times. It takes away from the game, I feel.
