Wellston will win this one with ease. They have played 2 games against Jackson, a D3 team that will probably go 10-0 or 9-1, and Minford, which will probably be in the playoffs again this year. Things are bad at South Point. Real bad. Next year might be better.

I agree that Wellston wins this game but, you think Jackson will win 9 or 10 games? I'm certainly not counting them out on the possibility but it will be a challenge with games against Granville, Athens, Wheelersburg, Warren, Logan, Portsmouth, Chillicothe, and Gallia Academy remaining. I certainly don't see any of what people would call "gimmie" games there.

Warren, Logan, Portsmouth, and Chillicothe are games Jackson should win handily. Wheelersburg is a game they should win. They beat Gallia and Athens convincingly last year.

I have seen both, Wellston will run the ball AT WILL on South Point.

I honestly dont see SP being in a game past half time this year, let alone winning one.

Wellston is quick and can throw the ball. Pretty good defense. Wellston names the score.

Wellston is prepared for this game. with the two teams they have played this year thats for sure. Like i said after the jackson game wellston was overmatched all over against minford but should be fine against south point.

The Point's defense looked much better last week. I felt the 27-0 score was a little more lopsided than what it actually was. SP had a TD called back by penalty early in the 3rd qtr that would have made it a touchdown game. When that happened you could see it deflate the team. SP has to play more disciplined, peanalties set them back last week. As you guys have said Wellston has been overmatched their first 2 games by 2 solid clubs. I feel if SPs defense shows up again and they limit the mistakes this will be a good ball game. SP offense has to move the ball better for that to happen though. Good luck Pointers! Pick up a W!

Final Wellston 48 South Point 21.The first half was slow at best for Wellston , and South Point took advantage with two big pass plays.In the third quarter Wellston dominated the line of scrimmage and scored 27 unaswered points.The forth quarter the Jvs took the field and played well against South Points first teamers giving up a long pass play for a TD ( I didnt understand why they did sub until less than a couple minutes left ) but the Jvs held their own ,much needed playing time for these kids.
