I note that Logan is goivng up 36 pts a game on average so far. Alder will win if they score that much and I expect they will. Logan is looking at 0-4. What a d@mn shame.

That small D5 school can very easily beat Logan next week if all their hands are on deck. The three boys who played their first game last week made a lot of difference, and Logan will have their hands full if they keep playing.

Hey Mr indianabuck, after this week even the next game with N-Y will be very tough for the Chiefs to even come close to a win. So we are looking at an 0-5 start to the season this is unacceptable and the supporters will demand a change! Maybe moonshine will reactivaite his committee!

This is not your typical Alder team. They have a young line and new quarterback. My guess is that they go 6-3 this year and miss the playoffs for the fist time in 12 years. That being said they will be back in form next year.

Alder is DIII. Their fist two games were against D1 schools. Clinton Massie is a DIII power house that has been a big rivalary for Alder. They provided way too much for the young alder squad to handle. I am sure that Alder made adjustments from last week and will be ready this week.

I think after getting embarrassed last week, Alder is really going to take it out on Logan. Also Alder's coach has history with Logan so you know he wants this one a little more.

Good luck to both teams.

My heart breaks for the team, for the school and for the community. I have heard that attendance at home game has fallen off and the only people traveling to away games are parents of players. How times have changed.

I watched the Clinton Massie game last week-end with J-A, and it was not pretty from the J-A view. Although C-M is a Div. 4 powerhouse, the J-A team is not very good. The winners D line had their way with the J-A team. The Div. 1 teams they played will not win many games this year if any. (34-0 halftime)

With the schedule the J-A team plays, don't look for a winning record this year, but look for the C-M Falcons to have a undefeated season, and win some games in the tourney again this year. They run the ball, run it again, then run again for the score.

Last year they had three backs with over 1000 yards, and two of them return this year, and the other one transfered to Washington C.H.

I am a former Hocking Co.resident, and am sad to see the Logan football program fall to this state.

I dont see Alder losing to Logan at home. Alder has a brutal schedule this year and Logan is the lowest ranked team (state rankings on max preps) they will face.

that's a sad statement considering Logan is almost double the size of JA

A new low for our program, maybe they might come out prepared and start the road to recovery before it is to late!

Next week a little D-5 school will again give Logan a football lesson. Changes are going to happen!

Seriously; all of the "experts" that keep saying "Changes are going to happen" or any other comment about a change, really need to stop. You have NO IDEA what may or may not happen. Unless the superintendent is posting on this forum, you have no clue so stop acting like you have some idea what the entire school board is thinking 3 games into the season. Logan has been in both games the last two weeks and has been very competitive. The wins will come. Fair weather fans should stop with the posing.

Have been in both games the last two weeks and has been very competitive...... versus a team that had not won since week 3 of the 2010 season (Newark) and the other team (Northland) that hasn't defeated an opponent with a winning record since week 9 of 2010. Is that really even noteworthy? How are they fair weather fans by questioning what has happened to their school's football program? "fair weather" fans, by definition, are those who show up/comment in support of their team only when they are winning.

I believe this is the type of apothy that some fellow Logan followers are referring to when stating that changes need to be made. From an outsiders perspective; if Logan (BOE, fans, etc.) is willing to accept this level of performance as the new standard, what makes anyone think that the situation will ever improve?

The question that begs an answer is this one..."How important is the football program to the students, the school and the community? If a program that is competitive, that wins and enhances pride in the school and for the young men who play the game, then it is appropriate to question the current state of the LHS football program. A cursory review of LHS football results since the 1930's shows a program with several back-to-back seasons resembling that of last year's results and the three losses this year but there was always a return to winning football for Logan. What precipitated that return was a solid program below the varsity level. If that is the case now at Logan, then calling for a coaching change might be premature. However, if this discontent permeates at all levels then the buck stops with the head coach.
