Re: Week 4: Chesapeake @ Valley
Although I dont know too much about Peake other than they beat a solid Symmes Valley team, I think this game could be close through the first 3 quarters with Valley pulling away.
I wonder if Peake will put 8-9 in the box and make Valley beat them with a passing game? Will 8-9 in the box be enough to stop Valley's running game?

Yep I agree originally I picked a 3 way tie for the league with west, minford and Burg. Now I think you can take west out and insert Valley to the mix.Jesco White wrote:I'm pretty excited to see my ole buddy "wink" back mixing it up!! How have you been wink? Looking forward to reading your posts this season.
Spamony, I'm definitely looking forward to our conversations this year, especially the last three weeks of the regular season. I'm really hoping the SOC II will have 3 teams qualify for the playoffs this year and give us a lot to banter about and even more for the league as a whole to be proud of.

Re: Week 4: Chesapeake @ Valley
I think that may hurt them more then help them. 8-9 in the box my be effective against anything up the middle but Valley has really been effective this year with outside runs like sweeps, and alot of misdirection. I think if Peake put 8-9 in the box it may clog the middle and just cause alot of traffic and open lanes outside. Then Valley may be off to the races. Cheasapeake have always been good tacklers as well. They traditionally havent gave up alot of yards after first contact and are usually fundamentally sound. We'll see how good their tackling and fundamentals are tonight.

Valley .... one game at a time ,dont listen to the nay-sayers and prepare like you are playing the NY Giants like one poster said ! Valley up to #2 in Pasteurs and #3 Eittel in Region 19 . Valley will make it 14 straight tonight ! Expect to win dont be cocky like some we know just come out and execute with confidence !!!

I guess 'dime-a-dozen' didn't have a response. Kinda makes his name perfect for his "dime-a-dozen" type remarks on threads like this, where clueless people act like these posts actually reflect the mindset of coaches and players in the games!!! I'm so exhausted with stuff like that. Let's just let the scoreboard settle it, shall we?
Re: Week 4: Chesapeake @ Valley
33-7 4 min to go in the 3rd. Chesapeakes defense looks tired. I think the deference has been valleys line on both sides of the ball.

Wow!!! It's almost like we all knew that our coaching staff would get a little something extra out of the passing game tonight lol It's almost as if we understand what our kids are capable of or something!!!chicken_coop wrote:I know Howard hit Arnett on 3rd and 30 for a 50 yard score...Howard to dunn for a 7 yard score...and Howard to West on a 16 yard score.N4da'score wrote:NO, not officially. Way to go Indians, and congrats to Will Howard on putting up some passing numbers to go along with the solid running numbers he's already displayed!!! It's almost like we, as Valley fans, understood all along that we have capable kids this year!!! 8)

Re: Week 4: Chesapeake @ Valley
Taken from an article. Will Howard: 7-of-10 passes for 105 yards and three touchdowns as well as 11 carries for 90 yards and two rushing scores.
Re: Week 4: Chesapeake @ Valley
Yeah will played his best game last night. The talent might not be what it was last year but don't tell that to these kids. They are playing with so much heart. You could tell on the the 2 pt conversion where will just threw the guy off of him. We was up big and he was still going 100%. This might be the best pass rush from are front 4 I have ever seen. #41 is unblockable.
