It is not a good move financially to travel so far.
We were in a tough spot -- quite possibly our own doing. I like playing schools our size and staying close to home. East and Greens decision to play twice is smart. That is something I have suggested for years -- especially on the jhigh level.
But we are where we are and let's go to Cleveland and come home with a win. The fan bus is filled and ready to go --- love the support.
Axe -- thanks for the political views I missed CNN this morning.

I figured you would appreciate the update dirt cinders... especially with the very narrow-minded teachings of the parochial schools; hence the word parochial. Irrational and unscientific teachings.dirt_cinders wrote:It is not a good move financially to travel so far.

Who peed in your cheerios this morning? I remember this being a discussion about the actual game...not the political or religious views of Highland Bendians.Axe N Shield wrote:I figured you would appreciate the update dirt cinders... especially with the very narrow-minded teachings of the parochial schools; hence the word parochial. There have been reformations and inquisitions by protestants alike --- they are all wrong! We would agree on that! Can I get an Amen brother?
Your mistake is to try and carry it forward to this day and age and more so, into a football forum.
I believe there are some religious forums on the internet for such talk.....done.

True there are some religious forums. But, none like this that gets the fire stoked with East & ND!dirt_cinders wrote:There have been reformations and inquisitions by protestants alike --- they are all wrong! We would agree on that! Can I get an Amen brother?

If "share the wealth" ever comes into play, maybe ND could share some of that rode trip money with Portsmouth so they could continue to play in the SEOAL.HighLightReel wrote:That is a haul for a game...

Getting back to the game, the good thing about Saturday games is that extra day of practice to tune some things up. Hope to see ND with this W.

As a fan back when Clinton was in office and gas prices were .99 a gal I was able to take a lot of these type games in. Sadly in today's world I can only read about them on sites like this.

0-0 at the half, It has been raining all day and doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon.
Re: Wk 5:Notre Dame (3-1) @ Clev. Villa Angela- St. Joseph (
Final score - Titans 14, Villa Angela St Joseph 6. It rained for 3 quarters and resulted in 5 ND fumbles. VASJ scored and missed the extra point making it 6-0 in the 3rd. Notre Dame comes back and scores with the PAT making it 7-6. Titans cap it off with another score and hold VASJ scoreless to win. Great road win traveling 4 1/2 hours north against the odds.

Great job Titans......if the poster on this board is correct, VASJ paid Notre Dame gate money to beat them. I have a feeling that VASJ may try and get out of the trip to Spartan Stadium next year. Enjoy a safe trip home!!!

scarlet_gray,
Agreed, but nice job of adding your own touch of class by taking a shot at people from an impoverished and crime riddled area. Not too different from some neighborhoods in New Boston...
