WEEK 5: Col. Bishop Hartley (4-0) at Fairland (2-2)
They say "there ain't no rest for the wicked" and this week, there definitely is no rest for the Dragons.
Hartley has thus far beaten their opponents by an average score of 44-6, and has only given up more than 7pts to Akr. Archbishop Hoban [10 pts.]
Can the Dragons have another game like weeks 1 and 2 and put some points on the board for the upset or will they be just another bump on the Hawks road in pursuit of a title?
My personal prediction:
Hartley - 42
Dragons - 21

Sorry, but even a score of 42-21 is not even realistic. 56-7 might be more like it. This isnt a southern Ohio team, its a central Ohio recruiting center Fairland is playing. Hoban might be 0-4, but look at who they have played.
Best of luck to the Dragons, but they might have been better off having a bye week instead of playing Hartley.

Getting beat by 40+ does nothing positive for the psyche! And Ironton football and Fairland football are two completely separate discussions.

they don't have to be my friend, it's gotta start somewhere. i remember all those losses to columbus st. francis desales. but more often than not it was the stallions with 115 players , coming from behind to beat ironton. there were a couple blowouts by the stallions and the fighting tigers won some too, but playoff time , the experience was immeasurable. so again i say. it has to start somewhere.

I know it has been disputed about how Hartley has been able to continue to put teams together, so that argument I will leave alone.
Team Columbus 60
Fairland 6

Best of luck Fairland, but I think the road warriors of Hartley heads back to Columbus with a win.

Re: WEEK 5: Col. Bishop Hartley (4-0) at Fairland (2-2)
This one, unfortunately, will be brutal. I'm not sure Fairland will score, but do agree, Hartley can ring up 60 points easy. Hartley has two D-1 running backs, and have primarily stuck to the ground game so far. I have heard that they can throw the ball very well, when needed. Their QB is Tom Brandewie's son (Tom played BB at Ohio State), is somewhere around 6'5", and has a cannon for an arm. So, sounds like you pick your poison against this team. Least that's what I'm told from those in the know about HS football in Central Ohio.

Good Luck Fairland! I dont think you will win, but that doesnt mean you dont try till the last minute.
Re: WEEK 5: Col. Bishop Hartley (4-0) at Fairland (2-2)
Good luck Fairland. I like the ambition of the Ad to schedule top flight competition, but wow this would be a game I doubt Ironton or Burg would win.

We get to find out 3 weeks from Friday how Ironton will fare against Hartley.... Remember, Ironton beat this team in the regular season in 2010, then lost to them on their way to the DIV State Championship.

No offense to Fairland But I have seen this team play and their 3rd string would probably win 21 to 0 against Fairland. unlike Fairland the Hawks Recruit from all around Columbus and have some outstanding players on both sides of the ball. I wish you all the best against them and I pray for no injuries. my prediction is 65 to 0 im not here to troll or offend anyone just telling ya what I see Good luck.
