The Portsmouth West Senators will have a tougher time this week against the Chesapeake Panthers, but should notch another win in the win column before taking on their conference schedule the following week at Minford's homecoming.

I think West will win this game and should win. But do not underestimate the Peake. They are not as bad as their record. They have some nice looking athletes, QB who can sling the ball and good size. West wins 28-20 if they hold on to the ball and pressure the QB.

WEST, STOP FUMBLING AND WRAP UP WHEN YOU HIT SOMEONE!!! This team is young but they have some very good athletes. Just gotta be fundamentally sound.

I have to agree that West keeps the train on the tracks this week and pulls out a win.

But why does everyone say they are young? They have more seniors than most of the SOC II teams. Do you mean they are just playing younger kids and benched the seniors?

West is very young. Started 4 seniors on offense and 4 on defense. Basically platooning offense/defense. Three guys: Bricker Jr, Frey Sr, and White Jr; played two ways. Others would fill in based on the set.

West has the least amount of Seniors in SOC II. Its hard to keep track of starters seem to change weekly. Don't know if coach Tripplet is still doing the challenge or not. It was if the backup challenged the starter at the beginning of the week and graded higher at the end of the week the backup would start on friday. I do know last week on defense we started 4 seniors 3 juniors 3 sophmores and a freshman, not for sure on offense. So we are pretty young. Are main problem right now is we are averaging double digits in penalties and 5 or 6 turnovers a game. I think we have turned the ball over 9 or 10 times in the redzone, 3 times lastweek.

I think the offense had 4 seniors, 3 juniors, and 4 sophomores most of the snaps.

Would be nice to get Scott back for more size on the line. But if it was me I would put a 50+ number on those Howell boys and rotate the in there at guard.

I was told Jesse would be back the Minford game, I sure hope so. Thats not a bad idea on the Howell boys. Hope to see more improvement this week before we get to league play.

This will most likely be a close game. If peake has any skill at all, we'll struggled. However, the more snaps these boys can get, the better they will get. There are strong, talented boys here, they are still just learning how to shoulder the load of winning football games. Unfortunately, it has came at the cost of three losses. Regardless, I look for us to keep plugging away win by a touchdown or two and go into league play 2-3.

No offense, but who is Symmes Valley really good in comparison to? They might be really good in comparison to Soc 1/Tvc Hocking schools or other local d6 schools, but they probably would only beat Northwest in Soc 2. Symmes Valley and West are similar in style of play. If Symmes Valley can give a school with twice as many boys in it as there a run for their money, if West can hold onto the football they can win by a decent amount.

Chesapeake had a really good team last year. They lost alot like us, but I expect a close game. They are always well coached.

Seems like the whole area is down on us. I know we have a couple bad losses, but we are better than our record. The changes they've made the last couple weeks have really helped. I don't think we lose to fairland or Portsmouth with the lineup as it is now. We will go toe to toe with every team in this league.
