Sept. 21 Vinton County (1-3) at GAHS (2-2)

Post by jottings »

Thoughts...This will be the second meeting between these two schools. GAHS won at Vinton County a couple or three years ago. GAHS is 2-2 and Vinton County 1-3.

It is hard not to predict a "W". Very few points can be earned by playing VC for potential playoff points. We need to continue rooting for Athens for secondary points. :)

The bad news for Vinton Co. is that Gallia will win by a bunch, the good news is that many young players will get some valuable playing time in the second half.

Most of the Vikings main threats are Freshman and Sophomores. I think VC will come out fired up after picking up their first win of the season last week...but I don't think they will physically be able to match up with Gallia for 4 quarters. VC has to play perfect to make this a game.

Moved up a couple spots in our region... Not many points left on the table.... Can't overlook anyone, esp Chilly Or Logan.. Jackson could be the game that decides our destiny this year.

The Gallia/Jackson game could for all intent and purpose be a defacto playoff game where a real playoff spot may be on the line not to mention the possibility of a SEOAL title.

Good effort Vikes. Clean up the drive killing turnovers and you will do fine. The Defense is still pourous but they are young. Every week they play hard and work hard at getting better no matter who they face. There was some serious hitting going on against them Bluedevils. It was clear that GA had their stuff together. Sign of maturity and senior leadership. Cant wait till we get there. Its coming and the TVC Ohio shouldnt sleep on us. If taken lightly VC may upset some folks.

I see the Vikings winning against Alex,Meigs and possibly Wellston. They are a lot like the Golden Eagles as they are very young and still learning to play against the older more experianced teams. The experiance they have gotten in the first 5 games will definetly help them out in the rest of the season
