Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
A waterleak over the weekend ruined Gallia Academy's new hardwood floor. Rest of the summer/fall activities will probably be moved back to the 1958 (now middle school) gym.
With basketball conditioning to start around the middle of October, it appears if workers started today, the current gym would not be available for use until late November or December, maybe even January. Sad.

Heard a line running to the baseball complex broke and flooded the gym . Heaved up in several spots . Hopefully a late November fix but who knows .Raiderball wrote:Heard about this couple days ago. Sad.

Wonder if this was another Trimat goof?

Hopefully they can fix the problem so the water line does not run close to the gym. So this mistake will not happen again.

Wonder how long it will take for the insurance company to get with proper officials and when will they be able to start the renovation project? If I was Coach Moore, or Coach Barnes, or the volleyball coach I'd be on their buttts every second of the day until they get repair work started.

maybe in January

Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
this is a dogone shame.....hope the contractor and or school was properly insured to get it fixed quickly and done right this time
Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Any update on the gym floor replacement? It's been about 10 days.
Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Sad this happened, really feel for the kids....We have a new school and the water lines are breaking..... HMMMMMM.... Sounds fishy to me.... Does anyone know where the break was? Was the line below or above the floor where it broke.... Sounds like Trimat strikes again.... Getting a local contractor really worked out for us....LOL....LOl.....
Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Still no publicity on the GAHS gym floor incident. Are the board members keeping it quiet? Nothing has been in the paper recently even though we tipped the paper off about it last week. Apparently no one covered last week's school board meeting. Hmmmmm.
Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Nobody from GAHS administration has contacted us about the incident. I did receive word on the leak from the school's statistician, but he is not speaking on behalf of the administration - now is he. Then again, figuring the school statistician cannot even send stats to his former employer for the last five years but can manage to send them to his local blog - I just don't know how much credibility that statistician has in regards to relaying local information from the school.Jottings wrote:Still no publicity on the GAHS gym floor incident. I also didn't realize that water leaks were a sport. Mr. Statistician, did you contact the news department when this happened?
Re: Water leak ruins new GAHS cage floor
Contacted you because it involves a magnitude of problems for the school's AD and the kids. Thought is would be a good story.Guess you wern't interested since it wasn't Meigs, River South Gallia, Southern, or Pt. Pleasant.
PS--Have sent you final stats when you asked for them at the end of several sports seasons, so don't say I've never sent you any stats

What about in-season stats sent jottings?
Also, all of those schools are in bdubya's coverage area, so what's the deal?

None of your business. You better be concerned about Jackson. When was the last time the Ironmen lost three in a row?

Wow!!!!! Looks like I struck a nerve here.
Actually, Jottings, in answer to your question......Look it up your darn self!!!!!!!!
I do wonder, though, how many shares of Civitas Media, Inc. you own since you think you have a say in things.
