Wow! Out of not repeating myself all over again... here goes! My nephew did play at East and moved to be at Burg and has started since he was a sophomore for Burg. And, is doing much better in athletics and educational wise! Clearly, was the right move for him all the way around.

AD QUESTION:
It appears that you agree with me on scheduling cupcakes is not good. Scheduling Northwest is a good move as far as points for playoffs but, still usually 95% of the time... East wins and it is considered cupcake. Raceland hasn't been on the schedule long enough to warrant any real consideration as to who is real dominate in the series. So, what you are saying is that keep on scheduling cupcakes (Green, Manchester etc.) and if you make the playoffs you lose every 1st round.

As for supporting my nephew at another school. Would I support him? The answer is "YES"! As long as it's not Portsmouth or Notre Dame! Green, Northwest, Valley and any other school in the state... but, not Portsmouth or Notre Dame!

Tartanblue... who do you think will win the game? Oak Hill or East and by what score? I'm hoping for a Tartan win but, my mind is telling me Oak Hill.

Good luck Tartans tonight from the East Beast. Will be listening to the radio for at least some scoring updates while at work tonight. I have already taken the day off on Oct. 27 for the big week ten showdown. Hopefully can make it to a couple other ones to show my support and lose my voice on the sideline.

I think Oak Hill will win the game by multiple scores. What is Crager's rushing total up to going into this game? I knew of him breaking the 1,000 yard plateau through the first three games, but haven't been able to keep up with his total since that time.

How well did Craiger do in rushing or passing? Any stats for him or for the game? How many yards did Oak Hill churn up?

As previously stated Oak Hill is a very good football team. I thought East might at least score in this one. It appears it was a throttling in Sciotoville.

Crager rushing: 99 yards, on around 15 rushes, and was like 1 or 2-11 on under 20 yards. Total Offense for East: 140. Oak Hill: Davis, 99 yards rushing, two touchdowns. Harden, 12 carries for 171 yards on 4 touchdowns. Total yards 474. Only one play for Oak Hill all night went for 0 yards, everything else was for positive yardage. Also, only one turnover by both teams, even though East struggled all night on special teams. Plus, less than 10 penalties for both teams combined.

This is based on East's typical supporters in the past when seasons are not looking good. And, honestly it doesn't look good down the stretch as any football fan could see... I hope not--- I hope they win out and win the SOC I Title! Then, fans will start packing the stands again! And, in the past, when a East team is doing good or thought to be doing good... there was plenty of people on this site showing pride. So, that is one example of how you would know. Also, as I explained before; I am watching my nephew who is playing at Wheelersburg and will until he graduates, then I will be right back at the East games again.

Now, as for your second comment on the AD bashing and scheduling. You must be a friend or relative because not many in the Sciotoville area like him. Second, "what winnable game within this relative area would you have scheduled?" Their schedule proves this notion for argument as moot! So, Raceland was winnable? So, South Gallia, Dayton Jefferson are in our relative area? The answer is "NO" on both accounts! If you are going to play a cupcake non-league schedule then you will be known for this.

I say that he puts about as much thought into it as he does when he brushes his teeth! None! Post it on a web-site and wait for someone to contact you. Pick the easiest or only one to bite and you are done with this... little effort or time put into it! I don't think that in our case the AD being a coach in three different sports is good for any sports program. Most cases are not good. Symmes Valley is an exception... Rusty is an exception to the rule!

So, to conclude... the AD's current scheduling for this year has proven your point moot and null in this argument! Will travel out of area for games and will schedule the first thing that comes down the pike! Heck, they even traveled to Dayton Jefferson twice! And, scheduling Green on your schedule any year is just about a good bet in football much less twice in one year! Furthermore...you stating that it looks like it was a good thing considering this season shows that you think the Tartans are in for some trouble during the second half of their season.
Again, you haven't been to a game....so you have no clue about fan support. Typical fan support??? Assumptions. When the team started out 3-0 there was still not a ton of talk on here from Tartan fans...not many of them on here compared to some other local schools.

Your logic has so many holes in it that your ship is sinking quickly. You proved my point. No, Dayton Jefferson and South Gallia are not relatively close, but it shows that we are travelling a little to play in "good games". Throw in Grove City Christian, who appears like a decent D6 team and this is clear. You make it sound so easy to schedule for a D6 team in are area...especially when you're not so sure how good you will be either. Now you try to diminish the Raceland game. That game was a huge confidence for our team...and I think helped them later in the season. Raceland has a good program...and certainly would qualify for "beefing up the schedule." Now you try to dismiss that because they have only played 2 years......?

Yeah, I think playing Green twice appears wise. Yes, based on what I've seen the games against Oak Hill and Symmes Valley appear to be tough.....doesn't take a genius. I think the schedule last year proved to be pretty solid...They made the playoffs and lost a tight playoff game. How can you complain about that? This years schedule would have proven to be fine too....if they had performed a little better and won or competed better in a few of these last couple of games. When you've only made the playoffs about 5 years your.....your focus is just making the playoffs. You have to get in first before you can win one. If the Tartans go on a tear and make the playoffs 4 or 5 times in a short span...then they can focus on beefing up the schedule to better prepare them for that playoff game.

Your nephew could have been a pretty good force for the Tartans these past few seasons if he could have stayed out of trouble...

Funny... my nephew has not been in any trouble at Burg and Burg is by far more strict on behavior issues than East is! They wouldn't put up with their AD or coaching staff bantering on this site either! I'm the first one to call him out too, if it acts like an idiot! Not let a kid play who was picked up for possession still participate; or speak to athletes from other districts about going to their school district to play sports.
