You're Tiger Bait wrote:to the fans of rock hill, and coal grove. please remember this is not the consensus of ironton fans.
nor that of nowhere near the majority.
the vast majority of us ironton fans long for the days, when all the lawrence county teams were ontop of their games. and were meeting in the playoffs. as well as thriving in the playoffs.please don't lump us together , based on a few opinions.
You don't worry YTB, some of these people don't have anyroom to talk, I mean if bigbuckeyefan really did leave Rock Hill to come to Ironton then he is only talking like this because he has never had success before and it is going to his head. I know there are people in Ironton that want Rock Hill and Coal Grove to be doing better because that brings more attention to Lawrence County and all of our teams.

As for this game, it is simple, as my screen name says 2trap_4ever. Run the ball, quit with the passing game it is not working. This o-line cannot give enough time to throw the ball so just quit trying it and go back to what was successful for 30+ years at Coal Grove.

that'a always been the grovers specialty. smash mouth running football. but you have to have the ability to pass, when not expected for playoff success. the all run game may get through an ovc season. but week 11 , all that changes. but i think coal grove is too much this week, for a redman program that has been faltering for many years.whether it is coaching, players not coming out, whatever it may be they need to do surgery there, cut out the cancer and start over. because they can ball out there, i've seen it. just too much turmoil right now. and personally i think, if and when a coaching change is made. they need to recruit somebody outside the school district, and change everything from the ground up. that's not meant as disrespect, what ever the problem is you can keep floundering, or fix what ever is broken. i hope both programs get back on top of things quick.

Not to mention that the players arent coming out like they did before for whatever reason. You do realize he has led them to 2 playoff appearances, so he must not be too bad of a ball coach.
I'm tired of hearing this same old story....yes they have been down for many, many years.....and this is a reflection of the leadership!!!
The 2 playoff appearances must have been once in a lifetime thing....huh?

Theirs no talent there! Plain and simple. Let anyone come coach there and you'll see. I don't care if Lutz is the greatest coach, he's not gonna help them win games. An to the person who chose to leave RH for Ironton, do you think players leaving there is really gonna help a team get better? And you can't compare Ironton and RH on playoffs. I played under him and know he's a great coach who's getting a bad rap for his less than average team.

The head coach job is to adapt to get the most out of his team. So RH has been down for the past 5 years. What is Knipp doing to improve the situation. So what he led teams to 2 playoff appearances. What is he leading them to NOW?
That is what I stated before that you just want to ignore. So are you saying he can only coach when a group of talented players come in where he does not have to do much to devlop talent to win? Guess you will be waiting for talent to just fall from the sky ready to go.

Actually when I was in school we played this type of schedule every year and we would make the playoffs, and if we didn't I did not go run off to another school because they were winning.

Hate to say this about my School, but the only chance for these Boy`s to win a game is the South Point Match up. :(

Looks like there needs to be some changes, and I don't mean from a player standpoint.
