Southern state coach Travis mcavene hooked tirell up with the generals.

Clermont said they only had 4 eligible/healthy players. I watched them two days before our game to scout them and they had nine. Not sure what's up. Southern state is now an independent.

We are 15-2 after beating Miami Hamilton 95-70. Martise had a few more crazy dunks. 18 pts 11 reb. We are at OU Lancaster tomorrow at 6pm.

Southern state beat OU Lancaster 88-66. We led by 38 in second half then Blevins got hot from 3 land. 3 guys with double doubles. Whitlock had 20pts 13reb, Ty Harris had 17pts, 9 assists, mclaurin had 12 pts, 14reb, kam Harris had 12 pts 11 reb.

Stats and notes. We have 6 guys averaging double figures

Martise mclaurin 17.3 ppg
Kam Harris 14.8 ppg
Brandon Whitlock 14.6 ppg
Diondrey holt 14.3 ppg
Isiah Walton 14.1ppg
Ty Harris 13.1ppg he is being looked at by multiple d2 schools and coppin state (d1). Leads nation (uscaa division 1) in assists 8.4 apg and assist to turnover ratio 3.6.

16-2 now.

We are hoping to go to Nationals in the USCAA tourney in Pittsburg. Top 8 in the coaches poll go. We are currently 12th. It's crazy. Look at theses categories

1st in the country in these categories. Win/loss (16-2), Points (96.4 ppg), steals (13.1), assists (21.6), blocks (5.7), turnovers (12.4 per game), scoring differential (25.5), 3rd in country in rebounds (46.4) 5th in country in power rankings.

Huge game Wednesday as we travel to Miami middletown. They are 16-6.

Been a little busy. Yes 4 of the 5 SHL guys got good minutes and all of them played. Jordan Payne got his first start of his career (scored a career high 10pts) in this one and Travis Combs got to start a game last week. Jake Daniels was in foul trouble from the beginning but managed 6pts(3-3 from the field) and 3rebs in 9 minutes. Jordan Mitchell got a few minutes at the end of the game but missed his only shot attempt. The Mount has been struggling as of late in league play. They lost 8 straight games before the win over Manchester Saturday. They played 4 nationally ranked D3 squads and a D1 school so a few of the losses can be justified but a there have been a couple where that is not the case(Defiance, Hanover, etc.). I'm not a fan of our Princeton offense. It seems like the only times it has worked this season has been against weak opponents and a Wright State team which hadn't played a single team all season that used it. If your shooters are feeling it( most days they are not, as evidenced by our sub 25% 3pt fg% in the 3 or 4 games prior to Manchester, due mainly to the set's inability to open people up) its great. I personally think running a more motion centered offense would have resulted in three to 4 more wins then they have at the moment. Our team looked better against Manchester U but they are one of the weakest teams we will play all season, time(probably the next two games against a few of the best teams in our league) will tell if they can turn it around.

Looks like no makeup with clermont. They r division two and we r division one.

We beat Parkersburg 104-81. We r currently 17-3. We play Clark st at home Thursday at 7:30 and wright st lake at home Saturday at 3pm. Our point guard is getting recruited by a lot of D2 schools and coppin state. He's averaging 14.1ppg and 8.4 assists. He is number one in the country in our division in assists and assist to turnover ratio.

Southern state beat Clark state 86-63. Now 18-3 on the year. Best record in school history. We are very proud of that accomplishment. Coach McAvene and I worked very hard recruiting talented kids that have showed up in the classroom. The stats speak for themselves. 6 guys averaging double figures:

1. Martise Mclaurin 18.7 ppg 10.5 reb 3 blocks per game (he's 6'1")!!!
2. Brandon Whitlock 14.7 ppg 7.1 reb
3. Isiah Walton 14.3 ppg 9.5 reb
4. Diondrey Holt 14.2 ppg
5. Kam Harris 14.1 ppg 7.2 reb
6. Ty Harris 13.9 ppg 8.5 assists

We play at Denison Tuesday night.

If you want to see an exciting basketball game, come to Hillsboro Thursday night. Valor Christian comes to the Patriot Center 7:30pm. They are #1 in the power rankings in the USCAA D2. We are #6 in the power rankings in the USCAA D1. We average 95.7 ppg and they average 91.8 ppg. Both first in the country in our divisions. We beat them at their place 93-87 in December. Should be a battle!! We are 18-3, they are 18-4.

Mount St. Joseph is still tied for the last available spot in the HCAC tournament, which they have not made since the 06-07 season. They have three games left on the season and they have already beaten two of those teams previously.

Gotcha. Southern state beat valor Christian 97-78 last night.

Martise Mclaurin continues to put up some impressive numbers. 25 points, 13 rebounds, 9 blocks
19 points 6 assists for Ty Harris. 14 points each for Brandon Whitlock and Kam Harris.

Now 20-3 on the year.

We had a tough one tonight. At Ivy Tech. We beat them by 40 the first time and 56 the second time. They added a real nice player and got another nice player back from injury. They hit 13 3's. we played an emotional game last night against a good valor Christian team. Add it all up and we won 88-80. Back to back nights are tough when you score 95 ppg. Their biggest lead was 6 and ours was 8. Glad we got a close game in to test our guys.

21-3 now. Big game at home Monday night against middletown. Then last game of the year is at home on the 20th against West Virginia parkersburg.

22-3 record with one game to go. West Virginia Parkersburg comes to Hillsboro Wednesday, feb 20 to finish the year.

Only the top 8 get voted in in division 1. We r currently 11th with the final pole coming Friday. It's a joke. We lead the country in every major category and are 22-3. Second best record in the country. Clermont is in division 2 and is way down in the poles. Only the top 10 go in division 2 and only 7 at large out of those ten. They are 8-23 and not ranked in top 20.
