Not Lake Logan that's for sure. Local rag just issued an e coli alert. It is also starting to fill up with algae bad in the shallow spots.Rose Lake is my favorite around here.
Re: Lakes in SEO
For South Central Ohio there is Deer Creek, Paint Creek, and Rocky Fork. Lake White is closed(see Your Tiger Baits epic thread).
North East of Cambridge are the Muskingham Valley Lakes: http://www.mwcd.org
Buckeye Lake sucks at best.
Other small lakes are Alma, Pike Lake, Roosevelt, and Vesuvius.
I have been out of the area so long though I am not sure about boating regs, etc.

Re: Lakes in SEO
The Muskingum lakes are good but when I lived in the Zanesville area, I preferred the reclaimed strip mine lakes that dot all over eastern Ohio. Salt Fork is pretty good too.
I'm spoiled with all the outstanding lakes up here -- Mosquito, Pymatuning, Berlin, West Branch, Milton and LaDue. Great fishing and lots of rec activity.
