2018 Chillicothe Cavalier Club Invitational

Looking into changing the date of the cavalier club invitational this year to a saturday evening. wondering how many teams would attend if we did a "big school, little school" division of the meet. would cap out at 16 teams. what are your thoughts on this. if interested in attending the meet by all means email [email protected] your school information and aprox. enrollment size.

It seems to work well for the Rocky Invitational at Nelsonville-York.
Have a Big school and little school division encourages more small schools to participate.
Can't speak for an evening start time because we generally have 24+ schools at the Rocky.

Currently we are looking at a tentative date of Saturday April 21st 2018 with a start time of 4:00 pm. its still in the works on date and time but could also go on that Friday night if it works out better.

Curious as to why the change of date? The current date seemed to work well...it was a very competitive meet for Southeastern Ohio.

What area meets are being held on the old date and same question with the new date?

It has been a great meet in recent years. couple things played into wanting to change the date. 1 being a school night- this past year we had a weather delay which resulting of canceling the meet after a few events. 2 wanting to make the meet bigger. get more competition coming to the meet from different areas and lastly more help. the volunteer numbers were down even on the fair weather meet. just broadening the horizons a bit.

Cant wait for this invitational going to be a good one!!!!! I love the chillicothe Cavalier club Invitational. The kids here are going to be very competitive wouldnt be surprised to see some shoving in the mile lol

Still wish Logan would do this meet. Went to a few good meets at Chillicothe that involved Chillicothe, Logan , Unioto
