You're Tiger Bait wrote:you cannot read anything into the fact that hartley beat bishop watterson players. different week, different game. we made a whole lot of execution mistakes against watterson. yes watterson was an excellent ball team. but we played considerably better in the first half as opposed to the second half. depth is an issue no doubt when you have injuries, but you have to keep on keeping on.

what i'm seeing is that hartley is smaller on their line fronts than us. we need to stuff the run, and improve laterally to string things outside.our secondary will have to be ready, but they are a run oriented team first. with their undersized lineman, i expect them to be very quick, and execute well.don't wrestle with the olinemen, get your stick in, and use your hands to get off them quickly to find the ball.swarm to the ball and wrap up.i'd sure like to see us doing some stunts and blitzing.if we execute on offense we can handle this team. we must tighten up our run defense though.good luck fighting tigers.

Execution, you dont get beat by that much cause you didnt execute. Depth is a huge problem, but the bigger probelm is the lack of play. We got out hit, out ran, and out muscled by Waterson. We got a big line and they were running through us like a knife through butter. Our line play is absolutly horrible. We are weak and slow. On offense we cant sustain blocks.

Watching that you see how many arm tackles those runners broke. No one was wrapping up everyone just tried to arm tackle or tackle up high. You also see our D-Line getting blown off the ball into our linebackers laps.

Ironton needs to come out of this game healthy. Hartley s more physical than watterson. Iron ton can do some damage in region 15 but not against Hartley. Get healthy after this game and get ready for playoffs.

it is important these kids know they can compete. we need to start executing more effectively, and win, lose or tie be ready for the playoffs.

The last team that tried this went went 0-40. Just ask the folks at River Valley how that method worked. You might not have to go all out and destroy each other, but you have to freakin tackle each other through the week. You have to work on form at the very least..... I would think

What's the injury report for Ironton? I heard the starting QB is out for the year?

If Ironton is able to keep it within 14 points, I'll be impressed. Don't think we have the depth or firepower to hang with the big Columbus schools.

ALMOST GAME TIME - GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS
On the radio on WIRO 1230 AM - granted not a powerful station with wide range.
Jason Philyaw and Kevin Anthonee with the call - they're the best
But it's also on the internet: http://www.foxsports1230.com/main.html
Click on LISTEN LIVE at the top left corner then on PLAY STATION in the middle.
