I, too, was disappointed by the number of penalties last Friday night. It really prevented the kids from being able to play their best game, frustrated the fans and worked to ruin the overall experience that those of us who follow local high school teams each fall. I do feel I must speak to the charges against Wellston "fans" as a whole, as the characterizations of the NY fan base who posted on this site, in my opinion, are inaccurate. I entered the stadium a full-hour before kickoff; I walked the field to visit both booster booths and didn't witness a single act of poor behavior from the school children or the adults. I was also standing near the locker room and the main gate when both teams were exiting at the game's end and only noticed friendly words among bystanders. Now, no one was standing hand-and-hand, singing Kumbaya, but no one was throwing rocks. The NY kids got on the bus and left without incident. To imply otherwise is simply inaccurate.

On the other hand, I could go into detail regarding the profanities that bellowed (both in 2010 and 2012) from the NY side of the press box, directly above my reserved seats, but I will refrain. I've grown to expect it, work to ignore it and am hopeful that someday something will help whomever the older, heavy-set fella is to clean up his mouth. My mother used a toothbrush with a touch of dish soap quite successfully. :|

WOW! Who is this joker? Obviously a Rocket fan. Sorry your team took a drubbing pal, and you are way wrong on your version of the behavior you spoke of.
