This years group of incoming seniors were very talented in the past and should make some noise, also a large handful of the juniors should
also help a lot to fill in the gaps.

burg played cincy shroder in 2004. we beat them 34-18. the win over them gave st. henry the 8 seed in their region and they ran the table winnin the title over amanda clearcreek. we lost to acc 27-25 in the regional finals

Last year's record wasn't good at all but the team competed well. Portsmouth, Coal Grove, Minford, and Batavia could've easily been wins. West was very competitive with Waverly and Wheelersburg. Hopefully this year those close games become wins. Would be nice to avoid all the freak injuries this year. Very unlucky the last couple years.

Yes injuries has been bad for West the last couple years. This program needs a shot in the arm this year to get back on track. Another year like the last 2 could cause the program to spiral downward. Good luck this year and hopefully injury free.

What is going on at the West Side are they attending any of the 7 on 7 or what?

Down around the West Side over the 4th of July. Talked to a few people about the football team this year and there was not a lot of people who knew about this years team. I even asked who were the Coaches they have after hearing few had changed jobs no one knew any names except the head coach.

Anyone know off hand about the team and the coaches this year?

The assistant coaches for the team this year are Cameron Hoover, Blaike Smith, Dan McDavid, and Todd Gilliland. This is Gilliland's first year with the team, the other 3 have been there for a couple of years.

Optimism should abound. West was a physical team last year and they return a bunch of key players. They were hit hard by injuries and still played right with Waverly and Burg. Anyone foolish enough to sleep on West this year is making a big mistake. They'll be hand full for every team on their schedule.
