You're very welcome. We're expecting it to be very close when we total it all up. And, we're going to have the total points scored between the two all-time as well.
Re: Week 10 - Minford at Valley - SOC II Championship(share)
Sounds like it should be a good game........think I might have to come up and watch it!

Your post should say if the FALCONS take care of the football. The Burg game I watched the QB was not the only kid that fumbled. Its funny that when you lose it goes into the blame game and now if the QB don't take care of the football. I believe there is 11 on the field and without all doing there part then it could be a repeat of the BURG game.
Agreed, but it starts and ends with the qb
Re: Week 10 - Minford at Valley - SOC II Championship(share)
Ive been reading all the talk about it being a rivalry game, and while I 100% agree with that statement It's a little more for Valley IMO. The Indian players, coaches, community have all been told repeatedly how last years run was something that happens once in 10 years, how the blind squirrel finds a nut, how they lost way too much. They've also heard how they will never be consistantly good in the SOC II..I could keep going of course. The fact is the players, fans, and who knows maybe a coach or two read this crap...and winning this game, having back to back 10-0 seasons, back to back SOC II titles is something no SOC II school has done in quite awhile.
There is a lot on the line for the Indians friday night, so expect thier best game of the year.

Do you have a problem with the Stapleton kid or something? You see to be really sore over the kid for some reason.Ol_BoyMF wrote:Bounce wrote:@OL BOY MF

Were the high snaps his fault? Where the fumbles in the open field his fault? How about the interceptions that went through the receivers hands?
Give it a break already. Its a TEAM game. The TEAM wins and the TEAM loses.
I think Stapleton has done a fine job considering he only practiced a few weeks before the season started, had limited time at QB during the scrimmages and since week #1 Minford is 8-1 with him at QB on a team that many people (myself included) thought would still be in somewhat a rebuilding year and go 6-4 or 7-3 and probably miss the playoffs.
But that is not the case. Give the kid credit, he isnt quite there yet but he is progressing nicely. He has been a fine addition to our football team.

[quote="knowledge"]Great venue, great atmosphere for this backyard rivalry. Should be a good one. Off topic, but what is that song which was played before the start of the 2nd half? I think my kids would like to come out to that before jr. high games.[/quote
the song is called" CLEAR EYES FULL HEART" ...by T. POWELL

I think Minford will have their best game of the season offensively this week. Stapleton and the gang are going to be on, just a feeling. Again... I just hope we KEEP Parsons at WR!Bounce wrote:OL BOY MF
As it starts an finishes with the QB explain all factors of a game that factors a team performance: RB fumbles,WR fumbles,WR drop balls, bad snap, missed kicks, missed tackles, missed blocks,Wrong defense set, wrong play called,QB fumbles an INT. These are all parts of the game that happens every Friday night to every team out there thats why its exciting to figure out the outcome. Watch the whole game not just the highlights before you point out one player.
Re: Week 10 - Minford at Valley - SOC II Championship(share)
I think Valley will have another outstanding defensive performance this week after containing Burg to only 7 points their confidence level is at a season high.I think the team is now clicking and ready for this weekend and for the playoffs. Sharing the SOC II is not an option for this team....

BLEEDING RED
I have no problem with cody. me and him are buds. i just expected more for him this year. but like i said i think next year will be his year. but my point was we will not win if he has a game like he did against burg. or if any RB/FB/WR have a game like they did for that matter. but i pointed him out because hes the QB!! it starts and ends with him. if he rolls WE ROLL!!

Yes you have to be pleased with Stapleton's progression. One thing me and a few others have spoke of and noticed is we would like to see him throw the football away, rather than taking these 10-15 yard losses and sacks. But this will come with coaching and experience.Ol_BoyMF wrote:BLEEDING RED

I understand what you were tying to say, no offense here. Like I have stated above, I really have a good feeling about this week's offense, I feel like Stape and the gang are going to be on fire. AGAIN I say KEEP Parsons at WR!!! Please lol 8)Ol_BoyMF wrote:i agree love the kid to death. didnt mean to offend my fellow falcons!

I don't think anyone is disputing that, I just think he adds a certain element which we could benefit from. I am in now way shape or form planning on questioning anyone, this staff is one of the best around without question as I am mentioned all along, we are very fortunate to have them, they have forgot more football than I know lol... I'm just talking football, or at least trying to. Go Falcons!

Re: Week 10 - Minford at Valley - SOC II Championship(share)
Valley is just too tough on defense. It is hard for any back from the opposing team to get many tough yards. It seems that every tackle has the player knocked on his butt or back rather than falling forward to gain extra yards. J.J Hetinger is the toughest DL I've seen in quite sometime. I don't think we will have a problem with Minford's offense. I'm so proud of our defensive line!! They have really stepped up to the plate this year.
Let's get it done this week and become back to back outright champs of the League.
And I will let my opinion be known that the next three years, we will have a great chance at winning the SOC as well. Five in a row SOC II crowns is not to far fetched for us who know the talent that is here in Lucasville. Last year's team instilled a winning attitude around these parts and we have some pretty good talent to go along with that attitude!

Also, I'm not saying we will win 5 in a row. Just that we have a great chance. Burg and Minford and maybe west will be major obsticals in our way. Just saying that we have a program that will be pretty darn good for the next few years.valley23 wrote:Valley is just too tough on defense. Just to point something out... An not just because im die hard minford, but has it occurred to anybody that valley might come out flat? They just came off a tough fought win against burg( who beat minford 34-7) while minford is coming off a rather easy week... I've seen this many times before a good team comes out flat after a huge victory the week before.. Just something to keep an eye on

Lets just try to win this one first. Minford is 8-1 for a reason. We will have to do more than just show up to win this game. Its gonna take an outstanding performance by everyone to win this game.valley23 wrote:Also, I'm not saying we will win 5 in a row. Just that we have a great chance. I have seen Valley's Jr High team and there will not be 5 in a row any time soon if those kids dont get much stronger and more fundamental. They were pretty bad. Alot can change over the course of 3-4 years but generally speaking toughness, tackling and blocking dont.valley23 wrote:Also, I'm not saying we will win 5 in a row. Just that we have a great chance. Burg and Minford both have tons of talent coming up from Jr High through Sophomores and Juniors.

I agree with this, but i dont think he's talking about the jr high. He is probably talking about the freshmen on up. But they have alot of growing to do. Time will tell. This discussion is for another time somewhere down the road. Valley has alot on the line in this game and need to come out and play their best game of the year. Should be a beautiful night for football.Bleeding Red wrote:I have seen Valley's Jr High team and there will not be 5 in a row any time soon if those kids dont get much stronger and more fundamental.
