Just finished watching the replay on Time Warner. Great effort from both teams.
The actions at the end were unfortunate, but let's remember they are high school kids. Emotions run wild some times.

Has a team in the soc ever shut west out and only give up 7 to burg?

I am completely impressed by the play of Valleys defense. To hold this Burg squad to just 7 points is amazing. I would bet that dont happen again this year. I was also even more impressed with Burgs defense. They did a great job filling holes and they are very fast as expected. Two teams averaging 40 pts a game held to single digits is amazing.

I just ran up to the store and got a paper. Wow!! Will definitely had a handful of Claxon's facemask on that play loldemaniac1 wrote:Just looked at the Portsmouth time pic of the game. Alil facemask? LOL!! What a great game. again, we tried per the Ptown newspaper, under 30 passes this game. Oh well, great job by the valley offense and defense!!

Congrats to the Indians. Wish I could have been there to see this one. Seems like I've missed so many games this year

It also shows that Howard wasn't out of bounds at the 3/4 yard line. Valley should had a 4th and 10-12Jesco White wrote:I just ran up to the store and got a paper. Wow!! Yep! I wish I had taken a picture of the divot in the turf at the 2-yard line after the play.crab_apple4 wrote:It also shows that Howard wasn't out of bounds at the 3/4 yard line. Yes same kid that spit on a kid last year, flips Minfords coaches and crowd off. Swings at a player in Valley game. Also same kid that quit at beginning of year and goes back to his home school where he played as a freshman and went to practice. When is he going to be disciplined and teach him something or is winning more important????

Valley and Burg JVs play this evening at Burg if anyone is interested. Should be a good one. Come watch the fine young talent coming up. Valley has a very good freshman class.

If they put this up on the valley site, would someone please provide a link. I looked around but couldn't find it.

NTHZONE wrote:Personally I think the same could be said for the Pirates . lets face it Ironton is not Ironton this year , Jackson is not Jackson , Minford has struggled with its offense although they do have a good defense . Now on the road for the Pirates which I feel is really a true barometer for them the Grove played them tough , Waverly put up some good yards on them but Waverly is weak on defense . Valley will be the strongest defense that the Burg will have played this year and will mirror Ironton on offense ! So I'm not going to guarantee a win on this game for either team but do think this game is going to surprise some people !
That's a joke.lol. can't believe you would even try to compare valley to ironton!!! Lolol!!! Ironton is on a different level of play son. If valley played irontons schedule this year they'd have 3 wins at best and would be deciding who to go watch on week 11 cause they sure wouldn't be playing!!! Lolol! :122246 :122246 :122246

If Valley would have played irontons schedule they probably wouldn't have had enough kids left healthy to play the Burg!
Re: Week 9: Wheelersburg (7-1, 3-0) @ Valley (8-0, 3-0)
Very true...Ironton went through a beat down schedule with kids out all over their lineup all season...and was still able to win six games...now with basically two weeks off they should be well rested for the playoffs..
