abuck is right on this. Over half of all babies born in the US now are minorities. This means over half of all kids in public schools will be minority within the next few years. The GOP will not tolerate publicly funding minority education. Within the next decade, watch for the GOP to make its biggest push yet for vouchers and public funds for private schools.
