Looking forward to a BEAT DOWN in Buchtel . Word is that the BUCKEYES have something special brewing for that High Powered Athens Offense  I don't expect Athens to score more than 14 points.. Buckeye Defense has only given up 27 points in the last 5 games.. and most of those were against the JV.
So I don't expect Athens to be much different. The Bull Puppies haven't seen a defense anywhere close to N-Y's all year long.. Heck Jackson held ATHENS to 21 points and that same defense gave up 20 points to Logan. :o .
I expect NY to dominate and have the Burrows boy running for his life most of the night..

Prediction NY-35
Athens - 14

Most recent weather forecast calls for isolated showers beginning at 8:00 pm.
Bulldog receivers may need windshield wipers :122246 :122246

Well, that gives Athens about a half-hour to put a few TD's on the board ...

Lets see, they average over 1-point-per minute, x 30 minutes = Athens 30, Nelsonville-York ? - if and when the rain comes?

lol ... J/K

Burrow is 6-foot-3, lengthy and fast ... running for his life isn't a bad thing as long its forward.

I doubt he is fast enough to outrun the Bucks swarming defense. They get there quick, with a bunch of friends, and it stings to beat he11 when they make contact. If he can out run that pressure long enough to get a pass off he will most likely be intercepted. So pick your poison. Bucks roll... And the cannon roars...

So would the GAZELLE if the BEAR was ever to catch it ... but how often does that happen?

lol

I know Polley is a beast - and more like a 'dancing bear' - but still, he needs to have his track shoes on if he want's to record any sacks Friday night.

I say there be more dog barks than cannon booms. Dont care who wins, just whoever wins, do something in playoffs instead of 1 and done. Gett'n old here in Athens co. Losen playoff games.

I know there are a lot ppl that get on here just to talk smack. That's their right. So this is my 2 cents worth of smack. Neither team has really played stiff compitition for how many weeks? Athens maybe Jackson and NY would be NC. So just how good is the Athens passing game? and just how good is the NY running game? Both of these teams pretty much went thru the league without even being pushed. NY a little at Wellston, Athens a little at Meigs. With all of this being said, can the Athens 'O' be able to run right past the DB from NY. From what I have been able to see the NY DBs are pretty fast and cover good, much improved.
Can the NY line push Athens all over the place? I don't recall since maybe the Watkins or Jackson game a running back had a good game against Athens. I think its going to take a good qrt just to figure out
what each team can do. After that, I do think things open up a little. ppl taking 7 touchdowns are crazy. I think both of these teams are to good to let the other put up that many pts.
Of course I like NY in this one! And I agree with the last poster, Athens county needs a playoff win!
The TVC Ohio did a good thing putting this game last on the schedule. This is awesome for both schools and Athens county. Another TVC Championship coming down to the last game. Football fans gotta love it!

Probably right about everything just said NYF ...

four straight years - decided by 8 points or less - no way does this game have a 6 or 7 TD winner.

I say 'buckle your seats belt football fans - its gonna be another wild ride Friday night.'

Maybe use your spell check and post again BIGHITSINC ... I"m having trouble following your comments.

and try and see the humor is peoples post ... nobody on here (from Athens or NY) is taking cheap shots at each other - and everyone has been pretty civil all week.

I am one Athenian who could care less what the "greatone" thinks.

As for Logan posting wanting NY to win, that is awesome, because I want those purple clowns to lose every game in every sport they play. And we sure don't care what anybody from logan says
