WK 10 SOUTH POINT (1-8, 1-3) @ COAL GROVE (5-3, 4-0)
Since I haven't seen a topic yet I will start one, any thoughts on this game. I think Grove should win by a huge amount but you never know what is going to happen when these two schools get together.

No comments? Really, I know that everyone thinks this is a cupcake game, and that is how upsets happen. I know that my Grove is not making the playoffs, and you are fooling yourself if you think otherwise, I have ran the numbers and there is no way that we make it, we can get our points close enough to sniff it the playoffs but not make it. Maybe, that is the reason why people are not talking, because we only have our OVC championship to talk about this year, thats good enough for me, because if your only mark of a good year is playoffs then why are we in a conference? Why not just go independent like Ironton if we don't celebrate conference championships.

I don't think it is too far fetched for them to make it. Granted a handful of them have to happen, but none are outrageous.2trap_4ever wrote:No comments? Nelsonville lose
Fredricktown lose
Logan lose
Meigs beats Alexander
Barring an upset, I think that is all that would have to happen for Grove to make it.

^^ that scenario is VERY possible...I have the top 3 losing, and Meigs is a toss up.

With the scenerio listed above this is how the points would look for the NY, Coal Grove, and Fredricktown
Nelsonville York 10.75
Coal Grove 10.2759
Fredricktown 8.5141
Nelsonville York would still have the 8th seed, unless I am not seeing something that everyone else is I just don't get where the Grove still has a chance to make the playoffs.

I show Grove at 26.5 1st level for 2.94 and 72.5 2nd level for 8.14. A total of 11.09. Thus, putting them in.2trap_4ever wrote:With the scenerio listed above this is how the points would look for the NY, Coal Grove, and Fredricktown

Coal Grove won 54-10 in a butt kicking
Also, the Grove gets in the playoffs if Danville beats East Knox on Saturday night,so Im glad to say that 2trap 4 ever was most likely wrong with his calculations! :122245

Fairland over River Valley was also a key to CG jumping NY.

It was, but I honestly never considered that had much of a chance going the other way.fuzzhead wrote:Fairland over River Valley was also a key to CG jumping NY.

Best play of the night was when South Point scored a touchdown and a SP fan jumped the fence and ran over and set off CG's cannon! Priceless!!!
Re: WK 10 SOUTH POINT (1-8, 1-3) @ COAL GROVE (5-3, 4-0)
Well, that explains it! I didn't realize it was a South Point fan who set off the cannon! I was wondering why CG would have done that when it happened! lolunclebob wrote:Best play of the night was when South Point scored a touchdown and a SP fan jumped the fence and ran over and set off CG's cannon!
