It doesn't matter where you play the games, you still have to win them and trust, Southern Ohio teams are used to getting the shaft on drive time for a playoff game but that doesn't matter as all the teams around here travel well and will follow their teams wherever they go.

Burg has played Versailles three times in the Cincinnati area. About an hour drive for them and about a 2.5 hour drive for Burg. I don't remember any empty seats on the Burg side

Just checked Eitel and Ursuline slipped in at 7 in there region.

Does that mean everyone else is playing for 2nd place? Hard to beat a team with all of those all stars on it. I know West beat them in 02 on there run to the state so it can be done.

Here's how Joe Eitel has it. If East Knox wins tonight they knock Coal Grove out of their spot. I guess Oak Hill will get more points because of the East/Notre Dame game. So it will change I guess.

And at 7:00pm not 7:30pm (assuming they didn't change it from last year).

That is assuming that Wynford beats their opponent, which of course is not assured but it is more likely than not and that Valley beats their opponent

Granted, I have only been traveling to watch HS playoff games for 15 years or so now... I went an watched all the good Portsmouth teams, Ironton teams, Wheelersburg teams, Valley teams, I watched every game of West's when they went to state title game... In all those games a team from Southern Ohio was NEVER given equal distance from an opponent north of Columbus... that is EVER.

If Valley plays Wynford and the game was anywhere South of Columbus I would be utterly and completely shocked.
Where are you getting 3.5 hours? Valley played Wynford in Westerville last year. That is a little less than 2 hours for Valley and about an hour and 15 for Wynford. The Regional title game last year was not near as bad as you are making it out to be.

I did not drive from Lucasville up there, I am reporting what I was told. I can specifically say that it took me slightly less than 45 minutes to drive from Wynford High school to the stadium because I drove right by it on my way. Even if you are right how is it fair for one team to drive 2 hours and the other less than 45 minutes?

Its not in the least bit fair. I would love to see them have the game on the south end of Columbus, but we need to take care of business next week first. Our Defense seem to be peaking at the right time.
