After comparing schedule's Colonel Crawford does not play much of a better schedule then Trimble. They played 4 teams with winning records and 2 of them beat them.

Trimble played 4 teams with winning records and beat 3 of them.

Trimble's defense will have to show up and play like they are capable of doing. If we can pass they ball like we have the past few games then that will be a game changer because then it will open up the running game for Standley, Jenkins, and Smathers. Trimble has some good wide receivers on the outside that can play physical and go up and catch the ball. Trimble has one of the best special teams units I have seen in the area for a while. I expect it to be a close game and Trimble will kick a field goal in this one and give them the edge.

I do believe the state does need to step in and re-do the regions. It is not right for a team to have to travel almost 3 ours to play a football game. Even though they have a long trip I expect a big crowd from them because of there first time in the playoffs. They might be shocked when the step in to good old Glouster Memorial Stadium and see the rought crowd and the sub pair football field. There will be plenty of people there because it is the only game in the area on Friday night. Come early if you want to get a seat and a decent parking spot.

24-21 Trimble

Hopefully Glouster Memorial is still above water come Friday. It will be a sloppy mess at the very least after this storm finally moves out.

The good folks at Colonel Crawford are in for a culture shock friday night. I'm positive they have no idea what a "rutter" is, but they'll find out quickly. As for the game itself, I can see this one going down to the wire. Remember Tomcats...don't EVER let anyone tell you that you don't deserve the things you have earned! Play like you know how to, and the rest will take care of itself.

Recipe for beating Crawford is as easy as 1,2,3:

1. Watch Wynford game film
2. Run the ball down their throat
3. Play good pass defense (pressure on QB)

I have to take Colonel Crawford in this one. They play a much tougher schedule than Trimble could play. Football in the northern part of the state is so much better than in SE Ohio. Look at Buckeye Central last year, or Newark Catholic. I would be suprised if Trimble wins this game but you never know when you have to go to good ole Glouster. My pick is 27-7 CC

CC likes to pass. I think they use a form of the spread with maybe a little wing t now and then. Their QB is tall with an excellent arm (not mobile) and #5 is a very fast receiver. Sportsbuzzohio is a website out of Findlay that has a stats page for all the NCC teams including Crawford

Also, WMFD TV out of Mansfield has highlight video of CC on their website. I could have sworn the week 8 game of the week was Colonel Crawford vs Wynford. Mysteriously that week is missing from the selections available to watch on demand. But if you fish around you might find something...

Why is trimble the underdog? If the schedule that CC plays is that much better they should be above us in the points. Oh well, just pin ups for the boys in the locker room

I would love to see TVC teams win some playoff games, but I think Trimble is the underdog because SE Ohio football teams have never faired well against NW Ohio teams. Last year Buckeye Central ran right thru this region and they are in the same conference as Colonel Crawford. Either way they will let the teams play.

Colonel Craword isn't really Northeast or Northwest Ohio ... just straight up from Columbus.
