I know Warren lost a lot but I'm sure Warren will have another guard that can score from deepthebarlowbandit wrote: Wed Jun 28, 2017 9:47 pm
I think that lineup will be the one who finally can knock off Big Bad Blue.

Josh Huffman will be Warrens go to guy...Hynes and Huffman will be fun to watch, it will be a battle in the Paint. Hynes will have the Luxury of help from Dickelman, Butcher and Maxfield down Low to Key on Huffman. Huffman won't have Chase Wiehl to take the pressure off of him underneath. I am Not sure what else Warren has but we all know they are Well Coached so I take nothing for Granted in this Matchup.Raider6309 wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2017 2:42 pmI know Warren lost a lot but I'm sure Warren will have another guard that can score from deepthebarlowbandit wrote: Wed Jun 28, 2017 9:47 pm

Will Cozart move to PG or will he stay at shooting guard? Appears he is best on catch and shoot ? Just curious.

Look for Senior Micah Saltzman to be the Floor General. Cozart is number 2 shooting guard, not to say he won't bring the ball up the floor occasionally. Others who can play PG, Senior Treyce Albin and Junior Henry Gehrig. There have been questions on here about Athens Ballhandlers and how they will adjust with Lutz gone. I say they will be just Fine. When you are compared to an EXCEPTIONAL Ball Handler such as A Griffin Lutz it is a tall order. I see a few Above Average ball handlers. And several that are Average. Almost all can protect and keep from costly Turnovers.Truth&fiction wrote: Thu Jul 13, 2017 5:32 pm Will Cozart move to PG or will he stay at shooting guard? Appears he is best on catch and shoot ? Thanks Vision , Ball handling is sometime under estimated but is one of the most important part of the game . PG in my opinion is thee most critical position in BB ,same as QB in Football.Good to hear that you have some above average BH.VisionQuest wrote: Fri Jul 14, 2017 4:59 amLook for Senior Micah Saltzman to be the Floor General. 93 Bulldog it looks like a good schedule and I'm glad Athens is back on our schedule . 2 former SEOAL members going at it . Should be 2 good games .

The schedule I was looking at had Meigs down for 12/12/17 and 01/19/18

Re: Athens Bulldogs 2017-2018
Athens is locked into the TVC schedule so it would be a little harder to schedule up . I would have thought they would have picked up a couple more better teams . Will this be the year they hang a L on Warren ? Good chance IMO.

Re: Athens Bulldogs 2017-2018
I like this schedule. Logan is Division 1 and Very Strong and Athens plays them Twice. Gallia Academy is a strong team and will be hard to beat, Bishop Watterson and Morgan not sure what they have coming back and Warren is rebuilding. Add in VC and Meigs twice and Overall Athens has another Tough schedule that will prepare them for Tournament time...Truth&fiction wrote: Mon Jul 24, 2017 1:28 pm Athens is locked into the TVC schedule so it would be a little harder to schedule up . Its not a bad schedule, but locked into the TVC is not a reason to not schedule up. You only play 12 league games, that leaves 10 non league. Lol
You have the flexibility to do whatever you want. Schedule up, down, in between, whatever.
I personally like the schedule this coming year. I think its very much in tune with what athens has returning. It will be challenging, yet not over baring.

Re: Athens Bulldogs 2017-2018
Comparing last years schedule to this years schedule I notice the Dogs get started on Dec 1st this year compared to Dec 9th last year. The unofficial schedule I have seen has 21 games listed-pretty sure they should have a 22 game schedule. I notice Parkersburg and Logan Elm aren't on this years schedule-In their spot Insert Logan twice and Gallia Academy once to kick off the Season. I'm not seeing any Big E Classic or Beasts of the Southeast listed. Also have not seen any listing of the 5 Scrimmages they are allowed before Season starts or if they may be in a Foundation Game this year.
