Obviously this isn't the wrestling thread, but there are a lot of Logan posters who revisit this one time and time again, and the topic has often turned to sports other than football. The Logan Wrestling team will do their best to DEFEND their SEOAL title this coming Saturday at Chillecothe. We have a young team balanced with some very solid upperclassmen. We could start as many as 8 freshman in a 14 weight-class line-up depending on how wrestle offs go. The future is looking bright for Logan wrestling, and if we successfully defend our title with this young group it will definitely be a forecast of even better days to come. The kids are all hard working individuals and many of them are going to contribute on fields of play in the other MAJOR Logan sports programs. It should be a great day of wrestling. Logan, Chille, Warren, and Gallia all have a legit chance to win the title this year. Even if you aren't a wrestling fan, if you bleed purple and white, and want to see some heated battles between league rivals, Chillecothe is the place to be this Saturday. Varsity and Jr High will compete in the same gym. Wrestling starts at 9:30 A.M. $5.00 gets you in all day. GO CHIEFS

kinda off topic but my son keeps asking me if ive heard anything about logan changing its helmets and uni's. has anyone heard this?

Would like to see a helmet change,the spear look is worn out and used by many,I even liked the solid purple look they have had for preseasons recently

I like the helmets, but have hated the jerseys for about 5-6 years.

I wouldn't mind going to white helmets with a purple spear (or just the number on the side). I'd like to go back to white pants away from home.

White helmet with 2 purple strips down the middle and Chieftain head on the sides! The rest of the uniforms stay with the 2 purple or white strips on the jersey sleves and sides of the pants. Chieftains printed across the chest. Also have each player wear the same type of socks and shoes. WE ARE ONE! WE ARE A TEAM!

white helmet with purple face mask and chiefs on one side and the players # on the other. i would also like a purpel helmet purple face mask with chiefs in white on both sides. here are some ohio schools with purple & white helmets.

Uniforms don't matter to me as long as we see a renewed spirit with our boys. I hope the changes bring a confidence boost to our program. Right now the players are so pumped and are really getting on board with the plans Coach Burke has revealed to them. I would like to see a coach put in charge of the weight room immediately. I know a few dedicated boys have been hitting the weights, but not enough. We need to get this going right away and someone who is going to be on the current staff keeping boys motivated and on a structured routine. Coach Burke is in the process of picking his staff (from past coaches). It will be interesting to see who stays.

Mom and Dad are the coach at HOME Let our coach do his job and maybe that EGO problem will go away! New rule,Any parent who sticks their noses in how the coach runs his team must be spanked!

Harris is Steve Harris.

He was an assistant for Logan from 2004-2009.
