That's the spirit! Way to have a positive attitude when most are trying to move forward in hopes the program turns around! We need more fans like you!

That was loaded with sarcasm if you failed to pick up on that.

I am only a bystander, but have contact with several players and was excited about the new staff. (Mccurdy new DC) (Walsh staying as part of D staff). Felt the excitement from the boys, but now I feel bad for our players for the situation they are in. They have lost some positive role models and some men that they have strong bonds with as their coaches. It is hard on them. Hope they can build strong bonds with the new coaches and continue to buy into Burkes plans. Personally, I want to thank all the old staff members for their hard work and commitment to my boys and Logan Football over the years! Also, JMO I think way too many coaches having ties to Lancaster joining our staff. I will always dislike and distrust Lancasterites.

A lot of coach coming in replace the old ones with their own picks. Picking people from Lancaster doesn't shock me. People are wanting to win now. Teaching a new system to the boys is hard enough and if you have to teach it to the coaches first it can set the program back. If the new coaches being brought in know most or part of the news system it has the program moving a long a lot faster. I would like to see more of the players out for track to have them in shape come the end of the school year. That would have the players in a little better shape come time to start football training.

Go Chiefs

Noreply66 - I think I read where the new coach also coached track up north. He may not be a part of the track program now, but he may suggest players to run track. Being in shape year round is important. As for new staff from Lancaster or where ever, I see that as a positive. From what I have seen the last 3 years of Logan football, a lot of changes needed to be made and it appears that is happening.
Yes, the people of Logan should thank the previous staff for their hard work and dedication. But it had to change, and support is needed now for the new program. There are other high schools in this part of the state, that need to revamp their football programs as well. I won't mention any names.

Over the last three years Logan Football has become stale and predicable! It was time for a change. Thanks to the pervious staff they tried there best! But looking back this change should have happened when Dale retired. Clarence and Dale had a very successful and long run and we all thank them and there staffs. Coach Burke is assembling a top notch staff which will change the face of Logan football for years to come. LOGAN FOOTBALL 2013 FORWARD!

You don't need to mention names, javagt, because it is, for the most part, almost all of SEO. Some of the most worthless programs in the entire state are there. The hope is that Logan returns to winning ways and can reach a level where they can compete outside of SEO. But to do that requires that the schedule be kept competitive, that the staff returns to putting in long hours which the last staff failed to do and that discipline returns that puts a controlled product on the field. Then , if the new staff gets the athletes out, I'd look forward to winning the SEOAL again and going to the playoffs with some success.

Six or seven wins aren't out of reach. In a couple of years when the younger classes start pouring in and adapt to the new coaches, they could be playoff material.

AT Lancaster- L
VS Teays Valley- L?
VS Newark- W
AT Loudonville- ?
AT Nelsonville-York- Winnable
VS Portsmouth *- W
VS Jackson *- Winnable
AT Zanesville- L
AT Gallia Academy *- Winnable
VS Warren *- W

I could see 7-3 or 6-4, Lancaster and Zanesville are really the only doubtful games they got,Gallia could be tough with some good players coming back and Jackson had a weak reserve team if I remember right but they're 7-9 classes were the best in the league so they might be for the taking this year,Nelsonville has been major problem the last 2 years but the numbers game should catch up to them sooner or later, but other than them the rest are very winnable.

They did make the V playoffs last year at 8-2 but the 2 years before that they were 5-5 and 3-7 so maybe they got it turned around and they have a good running back coming back, but if Logan improves under this new coach it would a winnable game.
