Ashland County.

Loudonville will be a very tough game despite them being Div. V. I think they will be every bit comparable to NY. Winnable game if the pieces come together, but will be very tough.

C-Bolt wrote:I could see 7-3 or 6-4, Lancaster and Zanesville are really the only doubtful games they got,Gallia could be tough with some good players coming back and Jackson had a weak reserve team if I remember right but they're 7-9 classes were the best in the league so they might be for the taking this year,Nelsonville has been major problem the last 2 years but the numbers game should catch up to them sooner or later, but other than them the rest are very winnable.

Loudonville will be loaded for a couple of years! They played a ton of sophomores this year

Not trying to be a butthead
Logan not only lost to a horrible Newark team they gave up 35 points to them.
For Logan to turn things around not only will it take a major commitment from the players in the weight room and at practice along with maybe the best coaching job done in the state by the entire staff.

Good luck Logan in turning things around.

Read where Loudonville started 11 freshman and sophomore's last year so they are very young.I hope Logan gets more players out this year ,the freshman team was really small so they need some new blood out there.

Mr Catholic!, I totally agree and when I said 5-5 i was really going out on the limb! If Coach Burke can get them to be disciplined and committed to the program and develop a warrior mentality, He should be Coach of the Year! Rome was not built overnight! Logan Football 2013 Forward!

Logan Admin should have gotten this coach down here as fast as they could. Trying to run things from three hours away isn't working!! We need him here now to run the off season. JMO He is impressive when here and kids are excited then that goes away until he comes again the next month!

Any job opening around till the end of the school year or maybe they need to fire a current employee! I know this is not ideal but your talking only 7-9 weeks at best and maybe if he is retaining any coach from the past they can assume the workout duties if they care!

I think we are talking more like 20 weeks of a MIA football coach since he was hired not 7-9. Hard for the other coaches to help out when they are all coaching other sports, except one. Whatever we will see and I hope I am wrong!

The man has a job lol
If he is a teacher he needs to finish the school year and chances are that he has to wait til this school year is over so he has a teaching position....

I'm sure Coach Burke would love to be in the school and I'm sure the school would love to have him in also.

But it's just not realistic. This is what happens when you hire a coach who has a job somewhere else.

These are the times you expect your Seniors, and especially your LEADERS, to step up.

Locos talked to my neighbor today (who played on the LHS squad last season, is doing weight room now) ... told me that there were only around 20 lifting consistently in the weight room - I was hoping to hear that there were many more ... I think you're right - the seniors for next season need to become LEADERS right now in getting players in the weight room - not sure of the numbers not lifting who are playing either baseball or running track/I'm sure that is definitely a factor - for example the baseball team has 15 freshmen on the JV squad, I'm willing to bet those athletes are the same that made up the LHS freshmen football team this past Fall ... haven't seen the track roster to tell you who would be missing due to running/jumping or throwing this Spring ... 20 lifting + 15 freshmen + 15 track( an estimate) = 50 on the football squad 10-12 for 2013 - probably about right for the numbers I'm guessing ...

... Locos - I've decided (with the Big Guy's help) I'm going to have to get back into posting on the football forum again ... used do game rundowns after each Logan game for a good many years then got away from doing it, I think Logan football needs the "Purple Hippo" back in the 'bleachers" doing football wrap-ups "napkin" stats and all ... what do ya' think ?

... that is true 93dog "WE" all got started doing football on the "Huddle" - LoganLocos, 93bulldog, 4theKids, gahs4ever, 2old, pfloyd ... original members of the SEOHAA  ... great games/athletes for the schools each of us supported - Logan, Athens, Gallia, Jackson ... some great times watching all of the teams, nothing matched the back and forth bantering in support of those teams 'back in the day" ... I haven't been to the Jackson football stadium for a long time BUT the 6 of us (Locos, 4theKids, gahs4ever, 2old, 93bulldog, pfloyd) are all on a brick in the stadium signature wall ...
