Trimble v Newark Catholic
Trimble v Newark Catholic
Did not get to see NC game with Nelsonville so don't know much about NC. What I do know is Trimble played a very, very good game against CC last night. The cats were fired up and were hitting hard. The played with great intensity on both sides of the ball. You have to love the way they are playing right now. Is NC a passing or running team or is it a balanced attack? Good Luck Cats!!

Should be a fun game for the fans.
The Green Wave have a lot of weapons and their defense has been pretty good this season.

Is the Sheridan field turf or grass? It sounds like that is where the battle will be carried out.
Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
All 2nd round games and up are on turf, and I believe Sheridan's is recently installed
Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
Pulling for Trimble in this one but I think NC is gonna be too much. Green Wave comfortably.

Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
The biggest reasons I see N.C. taking this one.
1)schedule-Not taking anything away from Trimble or the teams they faced, but I think the Green Wave have played a tougher one
2)Depth-Newark Catholic seems to play a lot of players and they have a boat load of weapons on offense, making it very difficult to key on anyone player.
Two things that worries me
1-The cushion Newark Catholic seems to give receivers
2-The kicking game(Point after kicks and field goals)
Still not ready to make a prediction as far as score goes.

Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
Trimble does seem to have a good defense, but look at the schedule.
They were defeated by(10-0) Wahama (WV)25-12. That was the best team they saw all season.
They have wins over three schools with winning records.
They did beat up on a very bad D-4 Meigs 22-0. That started their shutout string of six games. The combined record of those teams were 20-36.
Do not get me wrong that is a very impressive streak, but I do not think their defense has seen the type of offense N.C. can bring, with so many different weapons.
I think N.C. takes this one by 21.

That loss to Wahama is huge. Just ask TitleCLOWN he will tell you they should have beat Trimble by 80 and they would beat you by 90.newarkcatholicfan wrote:Trimble does seem to have a good defense, but look at the schedule.

Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
Nobody will know for sure until they are officially released tomorrow.
Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
I'm still saying it's going to be a close game. Close calls, a bad bounce and a couple of excellent plays will decide it.
Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
I have to take NC by 21 but I picked colonel Crawford to win the last one. Let's see if Trimble can prove me wrong again!
Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic
Trimble will show up and not be intimidated. This group of kids will hit you in the mouth til the end. Of course NC should be the favorite but thats just how the Tomcats want it. We the big time underdog against CC to. No one other than the tomcat faithful gave trimble them a chance either and look what happened. Its the playoffs now so every time you move on you are still practicing another week which means you have at least one more chance to prove critics wrong.
