He is also I would assume one of the few if not the only coach to have coached at a professional level (baseball stregnth and conditioning). He has a proven track record of success that is indisputable. Is he the most qualified impossible for me to tell without knowing all candidates. Is he qualified yes as was the candidate I spoke with as is the candidate he brought up to me as are the candidates inside every one has their oppinion on who is best hopefully the powers that be weigh all candidates and find the best fit.

I'm guessing you're referring to A.J. Pratt.....I heard he's the one they want......we'll see.....

A friend of mine said he was talking to the A.D. and my friend mentioned that Joe implied that "they" (well at least Joe) is really pushing for A.J. Pratt. However, I'm not 100 percent sure if A.J. has put in for the job.....it was sort of an informal conversation about who we thought was gonna get the job. Anyways, when Trojan football alum had mentioned a "qualified candidate" I was only making a guess at who I thought that he may have been referring to. I could be way off on both aspects. Personally, my other friend who put in for the job is my preference. Lots of good applicants, it seems.

Heard the same thing about AJ. He'd be an excellent hire as well.

It appears to be between AJ Pratt and Greg Estep...

I know that one top candidate has had his interview scheduled already.

As for AJ Pratt although I originally heard he was interested as well I have now heard from what IMO is a very reliable source that he is unfortunately not interested. This is backed up by the fact that he is only a year removed from stepping down from the staff at WKU wanting to spend more time with his family

In the words of the Wu Tang Clan " if you want beef better bring the ruckus Portsmouth Trojans ain't nothing to ..... with"

In all honesty Beef has his interview a week from Saturday, Bob Manchester has his the following monday. Both are great candidates in my oppinion. Anyone else know when otheres interview or who else got interviews? When will the inside guys get there interview before the outside guys ?

Exactly. Which is why I have no clue why Chad Hammond applied...our defense this past year was unbearable to watch!

Coach Hammond's hands were tied by his head coach and the talent that the head coach failed to develop on the defensive side of the ball.
