Fixing the country means that BOTH sides must compromise. Something the Republicans stated they are not willing to do.

Remember when Obama was elected the first time. First thing out of their mouth was not about working together or compromising but to make sure he was a one term president. That's part of the reason President Obama won in a Land side!

If it keeps heading this way, we might end up having a second separation of the United States. It is not hard to tell that what the new country would look like. Just look at the electoral map.

The new country would keep Alaska and take over Colorado and New Mexico, too.

Most Americans figured out the above and voted accordingly!

Obama won. D's picked up 2 additonal Senate seats. D's picked up ~8 House seats.

In addition, if you add all the votes for the House of Reps together in the US, the D's had over 500,000 more votes than the R candidate. The GOP has the House districts so gerrymandered that the voice of the people was partially silenced because of how the maps are drawn.

It's only a matter of a time before it won't matter how those maps are gerrymandered because the GOP is out of touch with 21st Century America.
