Real class by some of you.
On the contrary, everyone from Athens should show up and support the Bulldogs. They have most certainly earned the right to be playing, which is great! But, you have to be realistic, have fun, you won't be disappointed, just surprised.

Your are right! athens has had a very good run this year, but this is a step up like playing big time talent in the same size as school as athens! Welcome to the Marshall Plan!
Thurgood Marshall has smaller enrollment than Shawnee, Jackson, Chillicothe, Warren...
The Athens coaching staff will have the Bulldogs prepared. We feel like we have some pretty good athletes on our team as well. This group will compete.
No, they haven't faced a quarterback like Joey Burrow. They also haven't faced a spread offense like Athens operates. Logan Elm likes to spread you out, but focuses more on the running game. Thurgood Marshall employes a lot of man coverage which means 4 or 5 guys have to be perfect on every play; otherwise, Mr. Burrow will have an open receiver.
Good luck to Coach Adams, his staff and the young men who are representing the Athens community, the TVC and Southeast Ohio in the Region 12 Division III Championship ( Elite 8 ) of Ohio.

This is the Regional Final right? TM may be the best team in all of D3 this year and nobody is saying any different, but there are what 120 teams in D3? Athens has the talent and ability to play with 99% of them and they are all schools the same size!
The game can be heard on Power 105.5 as well as online at: http://radio.securenetsystems.net/v4/in ... lSign=WXTQ

I have to laugh every time that somebody not playing in week 13 wants to run down a team that is. I guess it makes them feel better about their team? Great job Athens! You have represented your school and the TVC well. Good luck this week, hope you win another one.
Nelsonville TV Cable will be televising the game on tape delay. Thank you's go out to Joe Edwards for providing chartered buses for the Bulldogs. We will continue to follow the Bulldogs and wish them good luck as they make history for Athens High School. GO BULLDOGS!!

Not to worry - I always watch the game back on channel 15 ... watched last weeks at least 3 times ... lol
I only posted the notice about Time Warner because I thought it would be intresting to hear the announcers comments, who are not from our area ...
I'll be sure to catch the Gibson/Skinner side of things Sunday morning ... always fun to hear two guys - who are totally 'un-bias' - call the game .....
Unless you are a local" homer", most peope in ths state who know anything about football knows how this one is going to end. We'll meet you back here to "discuss" the final score and why Athens got blown away. Some answers to why already exists -- the Regional is the weakest in the state ( except for TM) and Athens wouldn't not have gotten this far in other regions. No one wants to own up to the weak Athens schedule -- no problem, as TM will school all of you in who played a tougher schedule and is ready to play in the playoffs. Finally, and I don't want to put too fine a point on this -- many here think Athens will play with and score often on TM. Good luck with that one. In order to do that, you have to match up with the abilities that TM has on D. Everyone here is raving about TM's O or Athens' O. The reality is Athens hasn't faced an athletic team the scope of TM's D and will NOT match up well at all. But, hey, save your comments for me, as we'll meet up here and the explanations should be hilarious. You should have closely matched teams in a Regional Final. The game SHOULD be competitive. But..............................
Se you back here after the game, sports fans..........................

Sorry we forgot, 30 teams in the region, 29 of us completely suck and then there's Thurgood......Thanks for the reminder Paladin.
Athens has fought hard and played well. They made it to week 13, it's gonna take a few bounces to go there way, and a little luck, but if the coaching staff does there job and the players do theres, then Athens can come away with the win.
According to most people Athens has lost before they have stepped on the fieled, so they have nothing left to loose. They can go out there and play 4 quarters, let it all hang out!!!
GO DOGS!
GO TVC!
GO ATHENS COUNTY!!
