Wow! You rush for 616 yards and have four ball carriers go for 100+ yards, no one is going to beat you. If Thurgood Marshall maintains this pace, they are a shoe-in for the crown. I don't know if I can remember a team rushing for 600+ yards in one game. Holy cow!

Thanks bdubya and thanks to the Daily Tribune for the stats.

I witnessed the game and in my opinion that is the best team I have ever seen Gallipolis play including all of the years I have been watching them play. I would say that you would have trouble slowing them down with an SEOAL All Star team. Their line is big, strong, fast, and the backs have football speed and it is hard to see who has the ball. I thought the game would have been closer but face the facts they are headed to the finals. Athens will find out that Marshall's offense is not the same as #2 through #8 seeds are in our region. The Bulldogs are facing a real deal. I am not trying to disrespect Athens but they are going to wonder who let the dogs out. Because they do not call off the dogs.

I am sorry, but some of the folks on here are living in a dream world, but the alarm clock will sound Saturday night. Good season. :(

Assuming a Bulldog defeat let's hope that TM continues to win in such convincing fashion in game #14 and #15. That way we don't have to hear about the whole SE Ohio football thing from the haters. Hoping that Athen's is competitive but there is some reality at play here in calling it like it is. The problem with Athens' passing game if they can't make first downs and keep the ball the more times TM has possessions the more scoring is likely given their statistics. Hopefully Athens can score 1 to 1 with them but probably not going to happen.
